My wife and I were interested in a decent meal when we were in Lima. Someone at the hotel Britania mentioned Pancita restaurant just a couple blocks from the hotel. we went and had a drink waiting for a table. The wait wasn't long and we were shown to a nice table. The service was very good and the... read more

Casual elegance with fantastic food. Even the spreads for the bread were out of this world. Tried the cuy here where they fry it, and actually tasted like fried chicken. I think it was easier to bite into than the entire carcass like I had seen in photos from other places. Can't recommend this place enough.

This is a wonderful restaurant to taste Peruvian food. The flavors are intense and everything we have had here in the two times we ate there was perfect.

We ate here on our first night in Lima. Whilst we weren't taken by the city itself, the food at this restaurant more than made up for it. I have no idea what we ordered (helpful, it was some sort of stew and the other dish was a meat skewer?! we should have written it down), but it was the... More

It seems Gaston has an appetite for publicity at any cost. During my last visit on July 18, 2015, they allowed Travel and Living to romp about the restaurant during the dinner hour. The staff indicated that this was because the T&L staff were unable to come at an earlier time. T&L staff of six or seven romped about the... More

The ambiance is wonderful. My husband and I split an appetizer and an entree and I am so glad we did. Portions were huge. They have a great selection of Peruvian food, including a fee sampler plates. I highly recommend.

A great attempt to present some Peruvian creole food (criollo = European + indigenous culinary evolution) in the great manner of Chef Acurio. Consistent portions sizes, consistent taste, texture and presentation. It is great place for beginners to get a good taste of Peruvian food without having to worry about hygiene, consistency, service and general performance.

Really like the restaurant and ambiance. Food is great and not expensive on my opinion. I recommend Ajiaco de Gallina and Choclo. Also their bread and house made spread.

The only disappointing thing is that I didn't discover this restaurant until my last week in Lima! The first trip I had an arroz dish. Delicious, the chorizo was mildly spiced and the pork was a good blend of hearty meat pieces along with "panceta"- pork belly (which is very well prepared here in Lima) . Not accustomed to eating... This was a very modern and stylish looking place. The food was quite good. Beware - the portions are enormous. We shared a plate of fried cassava with five different sauces as a starter. Tasted very nice - but was very filling. I had a traditional arroz - rice dish with porc and sausage. The rice was very well seasoned... More
