I'm fond of seafood. I'm also fond of "local" food. (Where I was in the Philippines years ago, I had dog for lunch. Go for it!) The staff at where we were staying--Inca Boutique, for the record--recommended this place. My wife had the ceviche. I had something, I forgot was it was called, but it was largely rice, beans and... Had my last meal in Peru at this restaurant and was very satisfied! The portions are huge and very flavorful. The ceviche is basically a meal in itself! I ordered the shrimp taku taku and it was amazing- by far the most flavorful dish I experienced throughout my Bolivia/Peru travels. Highly recommended for those who aren't necessarily on a tight... We went here in December 2014 at the recommendation of our g adventures tour guide. Had a great meal here - the water was lovely and the food was great - portions were massive too! Always a bonus as far as I'm concerned.

Quality ceviche and excellent seafood choice. Service attentive. Agree that for backpackers price may be high (there are some excellent cheap "menu" places to get lunch in Lima which would be better options for people on a shoestring but not for seafood) but the portions are huge. If two go you could happily share one starter and one main and... More

Was my first meal in Peru so wanted to try a reputable place. Great food for sure, relaxed atmosphere. 29/sol for ceviche de pescado, 8/sol for a local beer. Large portion so I recommend sharing. Service was great, but the food took a while to be cooked.

We got a recommendation from a local friend that this place serves the best ceviche in Lima, we tried it and it really was!!! We also ordered some other dishes like the black seafood risotto that was absolutely divine. The portions there are very big, so one starter (like ceviche) and 2 mains will be plenty for a couple. (we... More

If you like ceviche and you visit Lima, make sure you visit Punto Azul. Go early if possible to avoid the crowd, because it's a very popular restaurant. If you are not sure what to try, get the "tiradito" (thin slices of raw fish) plate with five different sauces.

There was a line at the restaurant when we arrived, as expected. However it didn't take long and the wait was pleasant enough. Staff were very friendly, English was spoken limitedly but enough to communicate. Of course we had to order the ceviche. We also got the Tacu Tacu (mixture of rice and beans, fried and topped with a luscious... More

Nothing but good to say about Punto Azul. My wife and I had a great dinner at the Miraflores location in early December. The seafood was very fresh and the portions of the meals was generous. I had the duck dish which was very good and was served on "dirty rice" (I'm cajun). It was prepared and very tasty, my... More
