Will turn a seafood hater into a seafood lover

My boyfriend HATES seafood but could not get enough of punto azul's ceviche. It is something totally different from anything I've ever tasted and a world apart from anything that passes for ceviche in the US. Get there early because they are not open for dinner (no good cevicheria is) and a line... read more

While no ceviche expert, I will have to say that the ceviche here was the best I tasted while in Peru. it was very fresh and flavorful. The only down side is that it was very busy so I would plan on a bit of a wait to get seated, once we were seated though the service was actually good.

Recommended by the Hilton Lima Miraflores concierge, this restaurant turned out to be quite poor: limited menu, the "pescado a lo macho" a typical peruvian dish had old seafood in it. The pisco sour was excellent, so I gave it the extra point to make it poor and not terrible. I came down to my room to write a review... More

Good seafood, not high price, however, is a very busy place, wait in the street for half an hour if you go on a weekend. It is more advisable to buy the takeaway from this place.

The chef at our hotel was asked where to get good ceviche in our Miraflora neighborhood and he recommended Punto Azul (note that this is NOT the Punto Azul in the address above). In the evening, apparently it is less crowded than during the lunch hour so we got a 7:30 reservation. We sat upstairs next to an open window... More

Best Ceviche ever! It is a very plain recipe (the original), and there is not one thing that needs to be added. It will be a towering plate that will be demolished in no time. Also try the Causa! This will be the #1 go to restaurant every time we visit Lima. The wait is long, the food is worth... More

Not being much of a seafood fan, I wasn't super thrilled when we planned to meet some friends at Punto Azul in Miraflores. It was a hot day, and the waiting area was filled with people waiting to be seated. A few times during our 45minute wait, a waitress would come out with tiny cups of lemonade to sample, or... More

Not too fancy restaurant, but great ceviche and seafood. The hard part is to rate... More

Have to go to Lima again to be able to try all the menu from Punto Azul! And still repeat again the Cebiche Oriental (soooo good, specially with the dry noodles on top!) and the Tacu Tacu Negro (which I felt I could eat without a problem on following meals, without getting tired). The dessert plate that they show at... More
