This review is for the Tarata location. My husband and I have been frequenting this restaurant for years. We stay in Lima for 3 months every year and gone here for lunch and take-out. Last night we decided to have cocktails, taking advantage of their promotion of 2 drinks for 30 soles, posted on a signboard outside the door. We... More

There are 2 of these cafes close to each other, both are in great locations in Miraflores. I often have coffee here in the morning. Good service and reasonable prices.

If you stay at the Flying Dog hostel then this is where your complimentary breakfast comes from. The coffee is superb, the service is spot on and the atmosphere is fantastic. You can sit outside and bask in the sunshine whilst getting the coffee youve been looking for. Thoroughly recommend this place above all other coffee shops in the area.

Offers decent coffee, sharing plates, sandwiches, tourist care and local cuisine. Service was very good. Perfect location for a beer out in the sun in summer.

This spot is on a nice little pedestrian mall in Miraflores. The menu is varied with both local and standard fare. Prices are good for the district. I had a good portion of Chicken Florentine with Rice and a glass of Chilean red wine for 51 soles. ($15 US). Bright indoor area and covered patio on the pedestrian street. I... More

Visited Café de la Paz for dinner with friends. Got the corn appetizer and it was terrible. Does not compare with corn in the US. It is very large kernels and does not taste like our corn on the cob. Wanted to get an Empanada but they were out. Chicken dish was not good. I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Fourteen of us stopped here for lunch on a walking tour of this area. We had reservations so our table was ready. Our waiter was wonderful and spoke good English. He helped us order off the menu and described what we didn't understand. Their menu has lots of pictures which makes it easier for foreigners to order. Everyone in the... More

My husband and I enjoyed our last dinner if Peru at Cafe de la Paz and it was great. We had MANY vegetarian options from which to choose, which has not been our standard experience here. The fact that the food was good, too, was just a bonus!
