Place for Japanese home-style food

So you're Japanese. You have heard/ believe/ know that Nikkei (Peruvianised Japanese) food can be very good. But right now you are feeling home sick and want comfort food. Edo Calle Berlin 601 Miraflores is the best option I know in Lima. I had tempura udon, very acceptable. Then I went with a... read more

Edo Sushi Bar is an expensive choice, but it's worth it. It is simply the best sushi in Lima and therefore probably the best sushi you can get in Latin America. When I go there with a friend, I always choose the set of sushi, sashimi and makis for 110 soles,so 55 soles per person. It's the perfect amount of... More

While one of many chain restaurants in the Nikkei scene, nevertheless expectations were higher than Edo could deliver. If you can't guarantee absolutely fresh scallops (conchas), you can't try to serve them as sashimi. To cover up, ceviche or tiradito techniques can work, but taste the supply before serving as sashimi. Also, selling Canadian Asahi at a premium as 'Japanese... More

I am not a sushi lover, but my husband is and after reviewing the menu for non-sushi options I consented to go here for lunch. In retrospect, my husband should have reviewed the menu because he was disappointed in the options - too many fried selections and not many raw options. I found the same on the non-sushi side of... Rice is not Japanese rice. Sauce is too sweet. Restaurant is clean service is very good but the taste of the food is not for me.

I had lunch here.. tried 3 different rolls, not bad but not anything special either. If you are sushi aficionado you will most likely be disappointed..based on some of the other reviews, apparently a lot of people have not had good sushi..this is a far cry from the best sushi in Lima (at least I hope).. again its not bad... We have lunch at Edo Sushi Bar - Magdalena, there was available enough parking place. We ordered Furai Sushi as per suggestion of the Waiter, Yakimeshi Special and Misoshiru. All of them were delicious, the service was friendly. There is a small store, Edo Market next to the restaurant, which selling Japanese, Chinese and Korean products.

My wife and I went expecting great food after all the stellar reviews. We were shopping at jockey plaza and decided to give it a try. We had sushi the day before at another sushi joint in Miraflores, Lima, and to be completely honest.... We were both sadly disappointed after the amazing experience the night before. Miso soup was very... More

This was a great surprise as it fabulously merges the great flavours from Japanese and Peruvian food. If you are into traditional sushi in Lima, look elsewhere. I suggest you try a "Maracuya Sour" (cocktail of Pisco and passion fruit - delicious) and let the waiter guide you through the various options as anything you try it will be fantastic.... More

I have been living in Lima for well over a year now and have eaten at Edo's on many occasion - in this sushi bar and the other Edo's scattered around Lima. All of them are consistently serving up quality sushi, with a Peruvian twist. Simply delicious! What I like most about the Calle Berlin bar is it that it's... More
