El Pez Amigo - Excellent

The restaurant is very welcoming from the moment you walk in. The owner is very hands-on and approaches the guests to get feedback. We had our full of seafood, eating crab wonton, conchitas a la parmesana (scallops baked with cheese), ceviche, tiraditos, fried lenguado (a fish), suspiro Limeño and... read more

We didn't expect amigo to be open on Sunday because Google maps said it was closed. We swung by by chance and saw it was just starting to fill up around 1 pm. In we went and after spotting some primo dishes on neighboring tables we ordered up, chowed down, and left more than satisfied.

We heard this place had the best ceviche in town, and we're believers! I recommend treating yourself to a ceviche and their great pisco sours - one of the strongest yet tastiest we've had in Peru. You'll walk away pleasantly buzzed and feeling like you've had one of the best meals in your life. They don't make them like this... More

Peruvian food done perfectly in its purest form. A great first stop on your culinary journey of Lima, before delving into the world of fusion.

El Pez Amigo is something of a Pervian identity gem. They don't tell tourists. One of the best ceviches around and now that the seasonal ban on fresh water shrimp (Camarones) is over, a great at place to have them. Remmber, in Peru, langostinos coe from the sea and camerones from fresh water. Try the arroz con Camarones. Ask for... More

My husband and I had an excellent lunch yesterday at El Paz Amigo. In Spanish the name means "friendly fish". The restaurant was a short walk from our hotel Miraflores Park. The menu is all in Spanish but the owner speaks English and came over and made suggestions for us. We had a sampler of five different fish dishes prepared... More

Very friendly staff, delicious seafood, very good Pisco sour. Prices are reasonable and very central. Good experience!

We were staying in a hotel near El Pez Amigo, and our concierge recommended that we give it a try. So glad that we did! The menu is in Spanish, and we had a little trouble reading some of it, so our waiter recommended some dishes for us. Everything was amazing! The ceviche is so delicious, the grilled octopus was... I had a short window of time in Lima in which to explore Milaflores. Looked up the best ceviche in Milaflores and every review pointed to this one. I took a very pleasant walk from the Parque del Amor, past the mall in the face of the cliff, 15 minutes further to this restaurant. I'm so glad I did! The... More

I was invited by friends in Lima for lunch to Pez Amigo. My expectations were high based on the comments submitted via Tripadvisor as well as by Limeños in Lima. The experience was not great: food was good but not great, drinks are incredibly expensive; and the service could have and should have been better. All in all, I will... More
