Good Argentinian restaurant and service

Delicious food - a little pricey. This restaurant is a well established eatery in Barranco. We had dinner there and enjoyed the food and service.

Upmarket Restaurant with vaket parking at the front. Has been open since 1963 as they show on the nicely hand crafted menu sleeves. We started with Bread (later discovered to be S. 12) which was mice - freshly heated with a sekection of accompaniment. For the main course we shared a salad with Avocado (S. 35) and we each had... We have been eating here for nearly 30 years. The location has changed 3 times since we first ate here first in 1988 and at least one of the waiters has worked here for that time. They serve both Argentinian and American beef cooked to your requirements. The black pudding starter is particularly tasty, the house salad is excellent and... More

Absolutely the best beef restaurant in Lima, Peru. The meat is cooked to perfection and the service is outstanding. The medio lomo is the best bargain but there are numerous cuts of meat available. The wine list is extensive. The Rincon Gaucho is my favorite beef restaurant in the world!...and I will be back.

My family and I went to lunch for Father's Day. I think service could have been better. It was crowded and there was the soccer game between Peru and Colombia (Copa America), and a certain moment I had - right next to me - a lady watching the game / waiting for a table. It was a little uncomfortable. Prices... More

Very good overall with prompt and professional service. My meal was extremely well prepared and matched my order perfectly. A tip to remember in my experience in Latin America is to order in 1/4 increments vice attempting to use medium / medium rare etc. Also, if you have a preference for a "medium" or 1/2 steak, I would recommend trying... I have eaten several times with colleagues at Rincon Gaucho while on business trip in Peru, and every time the dinner was very satisfying. Obviously, you have to love meat to enjoy a dinner at Rincon Gauchom but if you do, Lomo fino, T-bone steak, all are very fine. Get a jacket potato too, you won't regret it. It's fairly... More

We arrived at about 7:30 pm to a fairly empty restaurant and were seated straight away. We started with a "small" mixed grill for two which consisted of pieces of griddled beef, mushroom and sausage. My strip steak arrived, cooked rare and to perfection, and covered the entire plate. It was delicious (Argentinian beef is the way to go) My wife had kidneys... More

I had the parilla for one.. Included steak, chicken, pork chop, cow heart, cow kidney, sweet bread, sausage, and morcillo. Everything but the morcillo was prepared well and cooked to perfection. If you are having a craving for meat in Lima I would recommend this place. They also have a pretty good wine selection. The parilla for one is definitely... More

Ever since I dinned at the Rincon Gaucho a year ago I have just tried to get back there. My high expectations were exceeded with the meal today. Absolutely the best steak and fantastic service. The Tres Leches postre was excellent and a fitting way to end the meal. Got to get back again as soon as I can.
