Comme en Europe (Like in Europe)

This place is owned by a Belgian guy. You will feel like in Europe (what maybe is not that good if you want to feel a "local experience". The Menu is also very Occidental, so it will not surprise you. The quality of the food was good. I enjoyed the location and the service very much (even if the... read more

Just wanting an afternoon snack I went to this bistro; I ordered a cup of coffee, a juice and some french fries. The juice never came and the coffee was somehow weak (/or watery). When I wanted to pay using Mastercard (which is advertised all over the café), I was told I had to purchase for at least 20 soles,... More

I had a paper chicken panini and it was fairly expensive (~22 soles?) and not that good- Just chicken in a heavy gravy on a panini. I think you can probably find something better.

Not quite Michelin star rated but definitely the best available in town. Good breakfast with decent pancakes, authentic syrup to drip over them, fresh fruit salad, and far and away the best coffee available in the city. returned for dinner and found the quality retained fully with a reasonable wine list.

Best coffee in Iquitos! Clean and cozy atmosphere, friendly staff and free wi-fi. It was a nice oasis of flavor after returning from the jungle.

The best European style food, breads and coffee in the Amazon jungle city of Iquitos. This would be a great restaurant anywhere in Europe and here it is in the middle of the Amazon. Fantastic menu choices every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner, great food with wonderful views and atmosphere set in a beautiful surroundings. One can order from... More

We had a very nice lunch here, thought like most food in Iquitos I suppose, it wasn't anything special. They have a fixed price menú for lunch as well as an extensive menu of sandwiches and other heavier options. Reasonably priced. I can't speak to the breakfast or coffee, which is what most people here seem to rave about, but... More

There was a lot on the menu and a great choice of drinks as well. Good safe food after you have been in the amazon or on the road eating stranger things. Price is too high for what you get but nice relaxing surroundings.

What can be said about the Bistro- It's a time-capsule to a classy Parisian cafe, complete with cappuccinos and chocolate croissants (yes, they are amazing,) yet situated on the banks of the Amazon. To simply find a well made espresso drink in Peru is enough of a challenge, let alone a real, fresh croissant- the Bistro offers both, plus a... More

This is my pick for best in Iquitos. It's how I start my day. A lovely atmosphere located on the quiet section of the riverfront, the Bistro serves the best coffee in town. Their in-house baguettes are amazing (make sure they don't overtoast!), and since I was last here they have started offering croissants (both regular and chocolate, also made... More
