We ate here for dinner on our first day in Iquitos, and loved it. Between my kids' enthusiasm and my father's stomach issues, we ended up eating here for 4 of the 5 meals we had in Iquitos! Had we been less impressed, we might have explored more. The food did take a bit of time to come out, and... More

A cosy place with a great atmosphere. They play classy music in the background and offer free Widi. Staff is very friendly and the food is excellent. We really like the place and will come back, probably tomorrow!

This place serves excellent breakfast coffee, decent croissants and a good Maracuja Sour which packs a bit of a punch. The Caipirinha is so so, but it is still one of the best places in Iquitos in my opinion.

a little bizarre but that is the charm of the city. This little bistro seems like it was taken from 19th century France and transported into the heart of iquitos. anyways, I felt like i was transported to the times of fitzcarraldo I was stared at the french chandeliers and sipped on my cold belgium beer. The food is pretty standard... Beautiful, hand-carved Amazonian hardwood and turn-of-the-century decor with beautiful tiling and wrought-iron chandeliers greet you as you walk in the door. If I was ever to live in Iquitos this would decidedly become a favorite haunt. Considering the number of ex-pats that I met in this place, I think many others share the same view. The staff was friendly, the... More

We ate at the Amazon Bistro on our last night in Iquitos and we were pleasantly surprised. We sat at a table outside to enjoy the evening air. Our service was quick and the food tasted great! I ordered a sandwich and it was delicious! I would recommend eating here for some good food, drinks, great location, and a lively... More

Since my wife is originally from Iquitos and I am originally from Belgium(but more than 56 years in California)this restaurant has a special place in my heart. We had a luncheon/almuerzo for my birthday and Marc, the owner, made me a steak-frites that was out of this world!! he really knows his cuisine. The ambiance, the food, the wine and beer selection... Travelling to Peru, forget Arequipa, forget Titicaca. Forget Cusco and the indeed overwhelming Machu Pichu area (at least for a few days) and travel to Iquitos, the city with almost 700.000 inhabitants in the midst of the Peruvian Amazone Forrest. Surrounded by 3 mighty rivers each of them one to four km large (during the flood) and with a magnificent... More

Our last visit to Iquitos was seven years ago and it was pleasing to find an improvement in the quality of restaurants in this manic jungle city. We have marked this one on Iquitos rather than international standards so maybe half a star should be deducted here and there. It was refreshing to find a restaurant with European ambiance among... Somehow this French cafe has survived and seemingly thrived in the the middle of the rainforest. Food is never disappointing and more importantly it's something different than you can get anywhere else in the city. Wine is nice, glassware appropriate, menus on electronic tablets with choice of English, French or Spanish--a nice cappuccino finish.
