Good Food Good Service! If you're on the Ayuwasca Diet, or not, this establishment has a varied menu. 3rd floor has air condition, on those hot days this is a huge plus!

I can't even say; but don't do it. This is one of the places that disrespects everybody: the guests, the town, the locals, and the gringos.

I was not impressed with the food at all. I was drawn like many travelers and tourist will be by the name "Yellow Rose of Texas". I wasn't expecting American food but I did order something local, the alligator with mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were prepared terribly. I couldn't even eat them. The alligator was very tough, not tender... More

We ate here a few times. They have a large menu, and do a pretty good job. It is owned by a guy from Texas and caters to the American tourist trade. Great coffee!

Great food, your choice of North American Food or even Peruvian food--we loved it, sat outside, nice ambience, great staff, went back many times! Highly recommend.

Not sure what part of Tex the owner is from but he should head south toward a Mexican boarder town and study what a real burrito is.... Or call this something else. What I had today for (29 Soles!) was canned veggies microwaved in a wheat tortilla. No beans no rice no cheese.....no bueno. For 25 soles I had a... More

The yellow rose is run by an expat texan, who greeted the guests, spent some time talking about his quirky restaurant, and checked to make sure the food was good. And the food was good. Good Peruvian food, with interesting stuff plastered all over the walls. One of the few really memorable places we ate.

We were looking for some real north American food and we were not disappointed, great atmosphere and awesome food. The service was fabulous and even got to meet the owner - great guy - thanks!

This is definitely the place to come if you have enough money to spend on it, besides they have the best quality food I have tasted in this town, it´s a place to interact with some interesting people from all over the world, the service is just great, maids speak english and it´s on the best zone in Iquitos, if... The yellow Rose of Texas is a well placed resto/bar in the center of Iquitos at the first block of Putumayo with a sidewalk terrace area, Some dishes were OK, the overall service is average to mediocre. Back in 2009, It used to be a popular gringo joint. Since then, it seems to struggle on meeting the price/quality service standards... More
