The MASSIVE purple Acai smoothies at Ari's are an Iquitos institution, and a highlight of what this city has to offer. They offer a selection of different blends, many with stimulating guarana, ginsing, honey, and other medicinal concoctions. I often opt for the “Super Effectivo,” and add their home-made “yogurt natural,” which is a cold, thick, stimulating treat! Can't say... More

Ari's is a cornerstone of Iquitos, and I'm pretty sure that the gringo business is largely due to their having the best acai smoothies in town. Which are actually the best smoothies in town, period. When I come off jungle dietas, this is my first destination and off dieta menu item of choice. It's a bit hectic to sit there... More

Stopped by for a casual lunch after trying out quite a few restaurants around Iquitos. I was looking for a chicken dish as this is a pert of my ''dieta'' that excludes red meats. Made my selection which was priced at 14 soles (1/2 chicken with chips, salad, some trimmings) - looked like a great deal considering the neighbourhood -... More

I ate a fish that looked almost like a piranha. The place is clean and the girl serving the food was very friendly. The prices are reasonable. There Werke mostly local people rating in this place.

Wouldn't normally think of going into a place like this but on the night in question a lot of the other restaurants were closed. However, it was quite an experience. The food was good and not too expensive, but it was the buzz and the atmosphere that made the night. It was full and a mix of locals and tourists.... More

Though we would give it a go as it is mentioned in Lonely Planet. Poor standard of food and having people looking in on you while you eat is off putting. It should be the other way round where you are people watching but these people seemed to be waiting for leftovers.

So I went there and we ordered two mixto drinks and two lomo saltaldos. It took over one hour to get the food! I was ready to walk away and after I went a complained, magically the food was ready within minutes. We sat near the street and a guy off the street took my friend's leftovers. So nothing went... Had the breakfast Americano here.. Very good actually..enjoyed the potatoes and bacon.. If you are in Iquitos this is a good spot for breakfast. I would recommend it.

The location is very good, the waitresses have a lot of work but I have no complaint of them, they were very helpful and the food was good. After almost two weeks of no burger it was great to have one! The desserts are also nice, but I didn't like much the pizza.
