Maybe the place it´s not a fancy restaurant, but the quality of the regional food they serve there worth it... cheap and good.

ENGLISH: Tipical regional cuisine, one of my favourit places to eat dinner in Iquitos. It's a great place to take your friends and newcomers for the full experience. It's simple and clean, the portions are well served and the service is friendly. A must for anyone living or visiting Iquitos. ESPAÑOL: La tipica comida regional loretana, siempre fué uno de... More

Perhaps more oriented to local customers it is not a touristical place, but very recommendable. Wide offer of "Juane" and other local dishes. The only negative point for me is they don't have dessert.

Came here for dinner following the good reviews. Since it was one of my first days in Iquitos I was not aware that fish tends to be rather uninteresting everywhere you go. The juane de yuca was very good. I guess the review would be more positive if I would have chosen meat.

Great place to try local jungle specialties. Clean restaurant setting that is less intimidating than trying to score a plate of food at the Belen or Nanay markets, but still a very local establishment with Spanish-only menu. I'm a sucker for anything cooked in a leaf, so it's hard for me to resist their multiple leaf-ed offerings. I like the... More

For 30 cents, you will have the best tamale you will ever have!!!! Truly local, no English menu, I wish I learned some Spanish before coming here because we had a big problem of ordering the same fish dish that other tables are ordering. Other than the language barrier, good food! Their jerky (cecina) is a bit on the salty... More

I wish we had gone here *after* we had learned more (and tasted more) of the local food (what juanes are, for instance) instead of before. Even so, it may not be to everyone’s taste. This is truly a local haunt without an English menu or English-speaking waitstaff, and the food, while interesting, is simple and unadorned, and there is... More

If you want to eat the food the people in Iquitos enjoy, this is the place. Fresh fish, fruit and vegetables from the area are prepared in delicious recipes. Very clean!

Disclaimer: Even though I have lived in Iquitos I am not a big fan of "regional" food. Blanquita is an institution in Iquitos. Started out selling juanes and in a table outside of Blanquita's house and now is a two-story restaurant. Has the classics including cecina con tacacho, several different kinds of juanes, hen's soup and tamales. Portions are freaking... More

We went in a group and ordered various local specialities. In general food was fine, excep the chicken soup that was cold and we asked for reheat. Tacacho and cecina were correct, not the best, but not the worst. The best is the nice attention of the people working there, always smiling and in a good disposition for help. For... More
