Chose this spot out of convenience and based on location. Service was pretty average and food was decent. Nothing crazy spectacular but a good option. Also has tables with A/C inside which is nice for when you're still adjusting to the Iquitos humidity.

We were a large group and we enjoyed the most delicious fish, a kind of catfish I believe, called dorado. We had a choice of hearts of palm or caprese salad, which I had - very good. I was so delighted to find my favorite tropical juice offered here, sweet/tart jugo de arazat! We had smiling, patient servers and our... More

Food ordinary, beer very expensive by local standards. We had a pizza which came with a soggy crust and not much topping other than an overkill of mozzarella. Definitely one of the poorer eateries in the immediate area.

Went in a party of 9 people for dinner. Menu mostly local fish, which was freshly prepared, and truly delicious. Conveniently situated on waterfront. Service excellent, very patient and friendly. Recommend to us by a local, and I would thoroughly recommend it.

This place was recommended to us by several people our first night in Iquitos for local fare. On that front, it didn't disappoint (though I think I will make it a point to never eat suri again, I had to try them once). The food was fresh, well prepared, and tasty. Service however, couldn't have been more lackluster and disinterested.... More

It has some interesting items. The freshwater fish with passion fruit sauce is a good one. The Fitzcarrald pasta (pasta in white sauce) has a different twist because cecina is added. Don't miss the frozen camu camu, it's the best in town.

The food at Restaurant Fitzcarraldo was very good. The location is excellent along the waterfront walkway. I highly recommend this restaurant.

In town for the long weekend and ran into this place that was actually open on the holiday. It is very well maintained and met our high standards so we want in. The service was excellent, the entire place was clean, the menu was very varied and the food was delicious. The cocona frozen was incredible. This place is definitely... More

it's a little expensive, but the pool is clean and the hammocks and beautiful garden are great. unfortunately, the neighbors seem to burn a lot of trash, because a few times that i have been there, the smell of burning trash bothered me. this is probably not something that Fitzcarraldo can do anything about

We four travelers stayed in Casa Fitzcarraldo for three nights, and ate in the restaurant for most of our meals. Everything we ordered was delicious, but my particular favorites were the grilled chicken (although the steaks were also quite yummy) and the garlicky tomato salad, both of which I ordered several times. Fresh chilled coconut milk from the property's trees... More
