It's 4:30 in the afternoon and I went to the Casa Fitzcarraldo to have a coffee and send some emails. There was one other couple in the restaurant and a lot of empty tables. I was told that to enter the empty air conditioned room I needed to place an order of at least $12 US. I opted to sit... More

There seems to be some confusion about which restaurant this is - the website is for the one at Casa Fitzcarraldo but the address is for the downtown one. Anyway. Go to the restaurant at Casa Fitzcarraldo! The mototaxi ride from downtown is ~3-4 soles. It has a world-class chef, a beautiful no-chlorine pool, and feels like you are have... More

Large portions, reasonable, tasty, within walking distance of our hotel. Highly rated, but not in comparison to similar restaurants in other cities.

The view from the outdoor tables is great. You can sit and eat and watch the river flow by. My fish was just ok but the fish with the maracaya sauce looked better.

I've been to Fitzcarraldo a couple of times - once in 2013, once in 2014. The Ceviche and other regional dishes are very good. The atmosphere is good, and can provide you with an escape from the business of Iquitos. It's a fine place, and I will dine there again. It's not a regular hangout for me, perhaps because it... I stumbled upon Fitzcarraldo because it was the only restaurant that was still open passed 10:30pm on the riverfront. The portion were big, the refresher drink was tasty, the view of the lively river front at night was inviting, and service was prompt. Overall decent experience.

Not bad at all but not sure why there is so much hype about this being one of the best restaurants in Peru. We were the only customers and I got a local fish dish which was good but expensive. My sister got pizza which was inexpensive but bland. Much quieter than Karma cafe which is why we choose. I'd... More

It has a good menu with international and national food. There’s great fish variety. Some of the international dishes like Italian pastas are very poor though. It has great views over the Itaya river and the malecón.

We ate twice at this location. First I ordered a pizza which is quite inexpensive but was on a preformed platform (not sure what else to call the dough) with adequate toppings. Would not order it again. Other meals were OK and the limonade is recommended. There is an airconditioned section.
