Delicious local food, great service, fancy and yet reasonable priced

Great restaurant. Even if a bit pricy for local standards, still more than reasonable for tourists. Can't decide what was best: the service or the food! The ceviche for starter and alpaca steak for main course were our choice and we totally recomend it. For desert we had the local quinoa cake and... read more

Just what I want, a good place for dinner and perfect meat... I try the Stone Cooked Steak Combinations Loco Carne with tree different meat. I Love it.

We had a starter and an entree salad which we thought was also a starter as it was so reasonably priced, but it turned out to be rather large but equally delicious. We also ordered the kebabs which were great and the 12oz sizzling plate of Alpaca, beef tenderloin and lamb. All were tender and delicious but surprisingly the lamb... More

My wife and I recently visited Peru for our honeymoon and spent 5 nights in Cusco. We discovered Uchu while looking into a cooking class that is provided at one of their affiliate locations on site - Marcelo Batata. After attending the class we decided that we needed to dine at Uchu. On our last night in Cusco we made... More

Food was delicious. We were with a large group 10+ and had fantastic service. The food came out at the same time and was served hot. I had the chicken kabob and it was moist and juicy. The accompanying sauces were fabulous. The salad was fresh and crisp and very satisfying. A meat loving South African I was with said... More

An all around upscale and fabulous experience--terrific service, outstanding food. We had the alpaca steak and the mahi mahi, both came to our table sizzling hot on the stones. We were told to let them cook on the stones to the desired temperature. Everything, including the two sauces, fried potatoes, and salad sides, were fresh and well-prepared. The ambiance was... More

The food was not only delicious and authentically Peruvian, it was artfully presented. I ordered from the "Stone Cooked Steak" section. What arrived at my table was a partially cooked alpaca steak and shrimp both still cooking and sizzling away atop a hot volcanic stone. It was accompanied by several sauces, a salad, and fries (other potato options available).

Had the shrimp bruschetta as a starter and it was amazing! Then as a main course we had the guinea pig (need to be ordered two hours in advance). It was a fun experience but I would probably not eat it again. We had some really good local tea to drink. All in all a very good experience and attentive... More

Uchu is well-established on the Cusco culinary scene and for obvious good reason. The entrance is a bit unassuming but once inside we found the entire experience to be delightful. The food and the service are both outstanding and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Cusco. There are many good restaurants in town but this one stands out... More

We gone 2 times, It never disappoints, as they have outstanding service, food and drinks. An extensive menu that includes fabulous steaks, delicious seafood, lamb and alpaca, and a comprehensive offering of side dishes and delightful desserts. A fine wine list to compliment the menu, and cocktails well chilled.
