Description: It is the only gourmet restaurant of typical local food. We do not make fusion style. Located in the old palace of the Inca Tupac Yupanqui, we have vegetarian options. In Deva you can found the ancestral cuzco culture through its gastronomy. It is atended by its own owners. We have different Peruvian wines and piscos, and you can enjoy, if you wish so, the traditional "chicha de jora", drink that the Incas offered to the Sun in the Inti Raymi

Eddie is a man who clearly enjoys his job. It was fun to have an evening there with a great meal of guinea pig and local beer and, as with some other reviewers, a trip to the kitchen to see how it's done. Food was good and not expensive.

We chose this restaurant on the recommendation of our guide, a suggestion which was reinforced by the high rating it had in Trip Advisor. I have no complaints about the food, which was good but not exceptional, and the prices were good. Our main disappointment was in the service we received, which was best described as off-hand. Whereas some diners... More

I had several great meals in Peru but that is one of my top picks along with Pachapapa. I actually had a hard time selecting what I wanted from the menu because everything looked so good. I decided to get the Alpaca which I got at several places. The thing I really enjoyed about this dish is the interesting way... More

We're so glad we went to this restaurant recommended by our friendly tour operator Anthony. The restaurant serves traditional Cusco food from the Inca and Colonial periods. We had the grilled alpaca tenderloin, ceviche and fried guinea pig, all of which we thoroughly enjoyed. We were invited back to the kitchen to see how the food was prepared, what herbs... More

A group of 9 of us ate here for dinner and had a great time. The service was not speedy, but it was very relaxed and friendly. Our server even brought us into the kitchen to see how they prepare the cuy and tell us about some of the local produce! It was a really fun evening. The food was... More

I highly recommend this restaurant. We found it while strolling around Cusco and found the menu appealing. Alfredo was our waiter and he was a pleasure and educated us thoroughly on the food choices. The restaurant was happy to customize our choice of meal to provide the local food and meet our dietary preferences by combining two of their entrées.... More

Deva Restaurant Tipico was recommended to us and good thing because we might have missed it. While in Cusco we wanted to taste true Peruvian food. This restaurant not only gave us a good taste for it, but also included taking us into the kitchen and experiencing the way they prepared the food. Service was great and spent time with... More

This is a long due review. When we walked in, we were feeling as bad as possible due to the altitude sickness. Our waiter and "meal coach" Alfredo, helped us very much with his suggestions and guided us through the authentic local cuisine as never before, as well as shared with us his knowledge of his Peru in a lovely... We were excited to find this place, which offers a local Cusquena menu. Unfortunately, the tiny portions were oversalted and poorly executed. The rice that came with the stew was a little hard, and the peas in the vegetable soup seemed undersoaked. I liked the idea of having many types of ingredients in the soup—quinoa, egg, cheese, carrots, peas, beans,... More
