Description: It is the only gourmet restaurant of typical local food. We do not make fusion style. Located in the old palace of the Inca Tupac Yupanqui, we have vegetarian options. In Deva you can found the ancestral cuzco culture through its gastronomy. It is atended by its own owners. We have different Peruvian wines and piscos, and you can enjoy, if you wish so, the traditional "chicha de jora", drink that the Incas offered to the Sun in the Inti Raymi

I highly recommend this restaurant. We found it while strolling around Cusco and found the menu appealing. Alfredo was our waiter and he was a pleasure and educated us thoroughly on the food choices. The restaurant was happy to customize our choice of meal to provide the local food and meet our dietary preferences by combining two of their entrées.... More

Deva Restaurant Tipico was recommended to us and good thing because we might have missed it. While in Cusco we wanted to taste true Peruvian food. This restaurant not only gave us a good taste for it, but also included taking us into the kitchen and experiencing the way they prepared the food. Service was great and spent time with... More

This is a long due review. When we walked in, we were feeling as bad as possible due to the altitude sickness. Our waiter and "meal coach" Alfredo, helped us very much with his suggestions and guided us through the authentic local cuisine as never before, as well as shared with us his knowledge of his Peru in a lovely... We were excited to find this place, which offers a local Cusquena menu. Unfortunately, the tiny portions were oversalted and poorly executed. The rice that came with the stew was a little hard, and the peas in the vegetable soup seemed undersoaked. I liked the idea of having many types of ingredients in the soup—quinoa, egg, cheese, carrots, peas, beans,... More

Very good fare, especially for the adventurous eater. Prices were a little on the steep side. Would return, but there are better values.

The Deva Restaurant Tipico was one of the best places that we ate at in Cusco. The food was delicious! The service was suburb. We were able to go into the kitchen to watch the guinea pig being cooked. My daughter even assisted with the cooking. Nice personal touch!

We ate here the first day because it was ranked highly on Trip Advisor and recommended to us by the hotel. Personally, I think the restaurant is overrated as the 20th best restaurant or so in Cusco. The food was good, but not great. It's a quaint place, and the service was very good, but I wouldn't rave about it.

We heard about this restaurant from our travel guide and decided to check it out. We had been advised to eat soup the first day in Cusco to help hydrate. Deva has a great selection and the quality was out of this world. My quinoa soup was amazing and highlighted the Peruvian grain perfectly. We returned a couple of days... More

We ate at Deva's the night before leaving for the Inca Trail, and it was close to our restaurant. The food was exceptional, and this is in a town where pretty much all of the tourist restaurants have good food. I ordered the trout with some veggies and quinoa, and that might be the best fish I've ever eaten in... More
