Good Restaurant - Don't Sit Near Door

We ate here at the recommendation of one of our guides. Our hotel made reservations for us, although it didn't seem to really matter since it was quite the entire time we were there. We were part of a group of 16 that decided to eat dinner here without reservations. Service was a bit slow and it appeared they had to call in extra help and go out for more food, but they served what everybody ordered. A small family operation, I think. My alpaca steak was outstanding, better than any beef I had... More

Nice place, Inca walls at the entrance. They served Chicha and warm salty corn. The staff was courteous. We had risotto de quinoa. It was the best quinoa we ever had! The fried pork was just ok, we had better before. A nice place, a little expensive, well located. A good option.

You know, the delicacy of Cusco, the guinea pig? Our guide had the perfect place. In fact, he walked us there after finishing up our tour of nearby Koricancha. Deva even made a concession and prepared a half-guinea pig - for a bit more than half-price. And they invited my wife into the kitchen to attend to the preparation. We... More

Stopped in for a light lunch, the wait staff are very helpful and extremely knowledgable about the many many varieties of potato and corn, who knew? We ordered their salad, very fresh with fava beans, carrots, onion, some type of seaweed, cheese - it was great, especially as we also ordered the trout in a pepper sauce. The sauce had... More

The food you find in DEVA, normally you just find in places where it is not clean enough to eat as a tourist, so in DEVA you can enjoy really local food without worring. Moreover the chef let you have a look in the kitchen how your meal is prepared and explains about typical ingredients. Outstanding!

Great restaurant with typical local food, with local ingredients and veggetarian options. I highly recommend their soups (quinua or wheat are the best!) which are ideal for those who have just arrived and are still feeling heavy due to the altitude. However, eventhough the servera are nice, the servicenis too slow. I came in last year and had that problem;... More

Small welcoming restaurant, owner was there when we were eating and came to chat. We wanted to mark our last night in Peru with some traditional food. The non vegetarians tried two of the soups and different alpaca dishes. All were good and portions were generous. Within walking distance of many hotels. The atmosphere and food much better than eating... More

I travelled to Peru with 5 other artists. We all had preferred culinary desires which often made meals a challenge. Deva made us all happy. As a vegetarian in Peru, I was often disappointed with horrendously bland and uninspired salads, but Deva created a mountain of exquisite greens and beans in front of me! Another companion had lake trout in... More

Description

It is the only gourmet restaurant of typical local food. We do not make fusion style. Located in the old palace of the Inca Tupac Yupanqui, we have vegetarian options.
