Description: It is the only gourmet restaurant of typical cusquenian food. We do not make fusion style. Located in the old palace of the Inca Tupac Yupanqui, we have vegetarian options. In Deva you can found the ancestral cusquenan culture through its gastronomy. It is atended by its own owners. We have different Peruvian wines, and you can enjoy, if you wish so, the traditional "chicha de jora", drink that the incas offered to the Sun in the Inti Raymi

Wonderful, authentic restaurant with a terrific waiter--Eddie! Well worth the visit! We went with friends and had a great time and a lot of laughs. The service was wonderful as was the food. If you're a bit adventurous, try the cuy or the alpaca. Eddie took such great care of us! Thank you!

We had dinner last night at Deva on the recommendation of our travel agent. It was wonderful. We had alpaca filets that were perfectly cooked. The meal started with a welcome chicha and dried corn. The next table over had the baked guinea pig -- while we aren't tempted, the diners were certainly quite pleased. Alfredo, our waiter, was very... More

I learned that the dish served often in Peru for special celebrations is that of the Ginea Pig. As they say ... When in Rome .... the Deva Restaurant Tipico came highly recommended to us by the concierge and we were not disappointed. We ordered our Ginea Pig 2 ways: fried & baked. While both were delicious, the baked version... More

We decided to try Deva out based on tripadvisor ratings. The food was not very flavorful. My friends had two different alpaca dishes and both were ok - one of the dishes he described as 'bland'. The aji de gallons was very tasty though. Overall average restaurant, can improve if able to add more flavor.

We dropped into Deva for lunch and had alpaca tenderloin on quinoa and chicken in lemon with potatoes. The alpaca was very tender and juicy and the quinoa well seasoned. My husbands chicken was slightly overcooked but in a tasty lemony sauce. Lunchtime trade was very quiet but we knew from walking past it in the evenings that they get... More

The service was definately a FIVE. Alfredo, our waiter, took his time to explain everything about the Peruvian food and culture. We learnt about the different types of potatoes, the quorn,etc.... The food was also good, however I am not sure I will eat guinea pig again. Too much bones, little meat for a lot of work (a tip if... More

The quality of the dishes here are only rivaled by the charm of its head waiter, Alfredo. Our meal was one of a kind, and the sopa de quinoa was literally the most divine thing that I've ever eaten. Alfredo's graciousness and eagerness to share the food of his region made this an experience we won't soon forget. Do yourself... More

Edge our waiter met is with a smile and took us to our table. He then brought out a complimentary local drink, a nice touch. He recommended what to eat and he was right in his recommendations. Wine was a touch on the expensive side but the food was good value. If service was like this all the time we... More

We dined here during our stay in Cusco. Edy was a wonderful host, attentive and gave us a sample of Chicha (corn beer) to try out as we waited for our dishes. He also brought out samples of corn and potatoes that are used in peruvian cuisine. They were willing to make the quinoa soup without the meat, which was... More

My wife and I went to eat at this restaurant twice during our 3 night stay in Cusco. Our waiter, Alfredo, was great and took time to explain the local cuisine, the types of local crops and how it is prepared. The restaurant itself felt very homey and welcoming.
