Great last night meal

Small welcoming restaurant, owner was there when we were eating and came to chat. We wanted to mark our last night in Peru with some traditional food. I travelled to Peru with 5 other artists. We all had preferred culinary desires which often made meals a challenge. Deva made us all happy. As a vegetarian in Peru, I was often disappointed with horrendously bland and uninspired salads, but Deva created a mountain of exquisite greens and beans in front of me! Another companion had lake trout in... More

This was our first meal in Cusco, and having been warned about not having too heavy a meal at altitude, we opted for a mild quinoa type dish (similar to rissotto) and a corn soup. Both were very good. Service was friendly and attentive.

All in all: OK. But, for (just) OK food, it seemed a bit on the pricey side. The trout was very dry---perhaps the non-fish alternatives are better.

My friend and I went to this restaurant, she took a ceviche, it was good, but I took a guinea pig, this wasn't delicious, it was a bit dry and salty. Also i could see some people inside the kitchen when my dish was being cooked, they weren't the cooking staff, they were other guests from the table next to... More

We used Tripadvisor to identify Deva Restaurant on San Agustin as the nearest restaurant to our hotel, the Casa Andina Pte Collection in Cuzco. The hotel conceirge also recommended this restaurant when we made an enquiry and made reservations for us. Earlier we met a Peruvian staff on our cruise ship who recommended that his preference for this Peruvian delicacy... More

It's not easy to get some typical peruvian food with english information (it would be alright if you can speak español) but this restaurant was good to do so. I was by myself and there was no customer except me. And waitress and the owner were very kind to me. They were really nice and explained some peruvian typical food... More

It was our first night in Cusco and we wanted to try the local food. Our guide recommended Deva. The staff was terrific - very friendly, accommodating, and informative. They even allowed us to see the guinea pig cooking in the kitchen. Very cool!

At the hotel reception we were adviced to visit this restaurant. And we really liked it, so we went back there several times. They offer Peruvian food. Alpaca steak and Guinea Pig are something I would recommend. Service is attentive, they will explain everything you want to know. Location is very central. There is no need for reservation. Everytime we... More

Our Tour Guide recommended this restaurant to try Peruvian food. We arrived late at night and were the only peopled (7 of us) in the restaurant. The waiter was very friendly and explained alpaca and guinea pig (cuy) dishes and recommended a red wine for us to try. There are other choices on the menu as we had a vegetarian... More
