Thanks for a lovely evening. We ate with you last week. I am allergic to gluten but my culinary experience was no less than my partner's. I think you are playing a really important part in Cusco's culture. Thanks for bringing a bit of France to Peru. It is a shame a couple of your recent reviews have been overly... More

Le Soleil was our first real meal after hiking the Inca Trail and it didn't disappoint. A French gem tucked away a short walk from Plaza de Armas, the owner welcomed our party of 8 at the odd hour of 2pm for lunch. Each of the courses was delicious, from the Escargot to the gnocchi. I highly recommend this as... More

The title says it all. Quite literally the best restaurant I've ever been too. I ordered the 7 course. The food was great. It surpassed my expectations. The staff was very helpful, and always ready to serve. When it comes to the atmosphere, I felt like I was dining in France. The manager was really nice too.

We stayed in the JW Marriott Cusco, and when we arrived in cusco we were exhausted, but wanted to grab some lunch. Prior to our departure I read about how wonderful Le Soleil was, but wasn't sure if we would have time to go. When I looked up the location, I realized it was just down the block from the... More

If you're likely to be impressed by fancy presentation and pretentious words, you will join the 5-star givers. But if you know a bit about contemporary high standard French cuisine you'll be bitterly disappointed and most certainly irritated. Food is not horrible (this saves me from rating the place as "horrible") but it is just not what it should be.... More

I went to lunch here on my first day in cusco. They are very strict with reservations but did allow us to eat at the bar, since there were no tables available and we did not have a reservation. We opted for the 7 course meal, which was underwhelming. The food is pretentious and contrived and seeks to achieve sophistication... More

Dear Timothy, Thank you for taking time to write this review. We enjoyed a lovely meal, although our main of lamb shank was not as soft as we would have expected given that it is described as cooked for 16 hours; the flavours were excellent nonetheless.
