I was searching for restaurants that served Cuy in Cusco and came across Kusikuy. After checking the reviews my uncle and I decided to check the place out. You may think its in a sketchy part of Cusco but it definitely is worth the trek to get there. From the décor to the food to the service this place is... More

Had the aji de gallina and mixed kabobs, both were delicious. Generous portions too! The owner was extremely helpful and made us feel super welcome. Definitely worth checking out.

Our B&B host recommended Kusikuy for us to try Guy al Horno (roast guinea pig), a traditional Cusconian food, and we also had alpaca. The owner of Kusikuy sent the cab to pick us up from our B&B in San Blas and also cabbed us home after the supper, all complimentary services. Both the roast guinea pig and the alpaca... More

My girlfriend and I shared a single order of the roast guinea pig as the owner explained that the plate was enough for two people. This is definitely the case as the dish also includes a giant stuffed pepper, a tamale, and a potato. The cuy itself was cooked (stuffed) with huacatay which is a Peruvian herb that is known... More

I had lunch today at Kusikuy. I was attracted by the decor - colourful, very pleasant place. I had read some good reviews, and decided to give it a try. I was very well received by the waiter who explained the special of the day, and convinced me that it was a good choice. So I had the rocoto relleno... More

My husband and I are visiting Cusco for our honeymoon. On day two we stumbled across this gem because of its sign advertising guinea pig. It was mid afternoon and the place was empty, allowing the waiter to give us tons of advice about Cusco. The menu listed Grilled Guinea Pig and Friend Guinea Pig as options, so naturally we... More

Visited this restaurant on our trip to Peru this October. This cozy little restaurant was on the same street as our hotel. Fanastic atmosphere, noted for the guinea pig, which my husband ordered and enjoyed. Ernesto the waiter spoke fairly good English and gave us complimentary Pisco Sour's for the group, even demonstrated how the drink was made - excellent.... More
