This was my go to restaurant. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and yummy/filling meals. I would highly recommend.

El Encuentro was the first vegetarian restaurant I visited here in Cusco since I arrived in January. Since then I have gone multiple times. There are many reasons for this. First the food is excellent and consistent. They have a diverse menu with lots of things I had never even heard of. They make many of the traditional Peruvian dishes... More

We ordered two sandwiches for 13 soles. When we asked for the bill, the waitress told us 14 soles. Not a lot of money, but in my opinion a very slickery way of making more money. Also we asked for boiled eggs and mushrooms. The eggs were fried and the mushrooms were canned. They have a lot of canned food... More

Nice budget place to eat for vegetarians. Great meals and excellent service. The only thing that caught my attention as a minus was the small plastic bags of ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise also found at fast food places like McDonalds and burger king, containing lots of chemicals and artificial flavours.

My tour party had arrived late in Cusco and as there was no restaurant in our bad hotel, my room mate and I ventured out and found this little vegetarian restaurant in Calle Ruinas. A reasonable range of vegetarian meals at very low prices. We were served quickly and the food was decent enough for the money. The place has... More

Nice veggy restaurant. The lentils hamburger and the guacamole were awesome. The daily menu is cheap and tasty. However if I could I would change the not-friendly waiter!!!!

Went for a quick lunch as not very hungry due to feeling a bit unwell. Opted for a bowl of spinach soup which wasn't the best I've ever had. Service was a bit slow. Felt as though you had to go for the set 3 course lunch (or be a local). The other food I saw being consumed looked OK... More

This was a lovely little restaurant. The food is cheap and delicious. The burger was great and I would recommend a visit.

This review is only for the El Encuentro near the Plaza de Armas, not the one on Calle Sta Catalina. We have been there twice and both times, we ordered different dishes. Both times, after a while the waitress came back with the menu and told us, that they don't have the dishes we ordered. They didn't apologize or anything... More

Tried out this restaurant after reading the raving reviews & finding 8 soles for 3 courses + tea far too appealing to turn down. The food wasn't really up my street & I was left a little wanting. I don't think it lived up to it's Trip Advisor reputation, although perhaps I should have ordered off the menu instead of... More
