My first experience of eating cuy

Our first night in Cusco this restaurant was recommended by our hotel. After huffing and puffing our way up the hill to San Blas we were delighted to find this quiet place with outdoor seating (heaters available for cold nights). We took the plunge and ordered cuy al horno, cooked in a wood-fired... read more

Our first night in Cusco this restaurant was recommended by our hotel. After huffing and puffing our way up the hill to San Blas we were delighted to find this quiet place with outdoor seating (heaters available for cold nights). We went the first time based on our hotel's recommendation and the second time based on our experience the first time. The menu included both regional and international options, and found both prepared to perfection. The local lamb soup was wonderful as were the pizzas. Our server, Nilo, couldn't have been more professional and gracious. He greeted us like old... More

Located right in the San Blas Plaza the restaurant was easy to find. The open air dining made the experience nice after a long trip. Seating under cover was available. The dishes were authentic and reasonably priced. Service was great and I would definitely go here again.

We were staying just around the corner and our guide recommended this restaurant, which is on San Blas piazza. Good service from friendly staff; we tried sitting both inside and under heaters outside. On all three occasions we really enjoyed our meal, trying a mix of local and "international" food. All of good quality at sensible prices.

The best thing about this place is the outdoor setting and ambience. However, the food is also tasty and comes highly recommended. We enjoyed it that much that we went two nights in a row especially as its open later than many of the other restaurants in the area. One night we had roasted guinea pig "coy" which was nice... It was a cool february night and the restaurant was 1/4 full. We were a group of 4. We ordered the Quinoa Soup, Stuffed Avocado for Starters, ASADO DE BRAZUELO DE CORDERO (english translation- Lamb Shoulder), AJÍ DE GALLINA ( Chicken stew) and anchovy pizza for mains. The waiter seemed annoyed to have to take our orders and offered very... More

I am very surprised by the rating this restaurante gets on trip advisor given the average food it serves. I have been travelling about 2 months all over Peru and decided with a group of friends to try this restaurant in Cusco based on recomendation made by a friend. This place was highly rated and given the prices (high end),... More

We joys a delightful late lunch here after a morning of sightseeing. The interior patio area was a calm, welcome oasis from the city. Service was friendly and the food acceptable. What we like most was the atmosphere; very laid back place.

We originally selected this restaurant because it was walking distance from our hotel and smelled good from the outside. It looks to be family run and serves a variety of food. At the recommendation of the owner we tried Alpaca and it was very tasty. I would recommend Alpaca to anyone interested in trying local cuisine. The meal was reasonably... More
