True Peru

Went with a group for a late lunch. Food was very good, especially if you're looking for traditional Peruvian food. I'd like to go back in the evening some time because I'll bet it's a hoppin' place!

The restaurant is a bit of a trek uphill but so worth the effort. The ambience & food were spot on! We couldn't bring ourselves to order the Guinea pig or the Alpaca but their other traditional dishes were very good, especially 'Aji de Gallina'. On our way back we stopped by art galleries & shops to pick up souvenirs.... More

The outdoor setting is terrific with live music and heaters. Outdoor fire oven and large tables with umbrellas. Extensive menu and little buns to start meal were delicious.

Good as usual, after many years, still one of the good places in Cusco. I love this place. Attention is really good, food quality is high, like the outdoor garden, even when is cold.

Very pretty restaurant with a nice courtyard which you need to book for , we ended up inside as we hadnt booked but as it was quite cold this turned out well. We had Pizzas as the Guinea Pig was going to take 1 hour and our pizzas were delicious, the table next to us had the guinea pig and... More

Pleasant ambiance, good service, somewhat high prices. The prices are within 10% of a few of the 5 star hotels down the street, so in that sense you could argue that they are overpriced by local standards. The cuy is OK, but not necessarily something I would wait for an hour again - here or anywhere else. Basically a crispy... More

We had one of the best service experience of our trip at Pachapapa. The food was quite good--not mind-blowing, but very good on every level. The ambiance in the courtyard was perfect. A harpist played traditional music from Cusco the large outdoor oven was tended with fresh wood. Our server was kind, attentive, and spoke good English. The sky was... More

I recommend the trucha and the alpaca, they are very good. Great atmosphere, you can sit at the patio or indoors.

Good location in San Blas and the meat was beautiful. My only criticism was that the Pisco Sours were quite small and, for a restaurant which was meant to specialize in potatoes, there was a serious lack of potato dishes on the menu.

My friend and I ate dinner here last week, right after returning from our Inca trail trek. Absolutely loved the atmosphere and being able to sit outside in the courtyard with heaters. We ate the cuy and the smoked trout... both of which were great! Would definitely go back if I return to Cusco!
