First local restaurant we tried in Cusco

Outdoor seating in a courtyard. Fresh bread baked in an outdoor oven. The first sample of Peruvian ceviche we tried since our arrival. It was made with local trout and was absolutely delicious! We also tried the oven roasted fresh trout and a local recipe chicken dish. The trout was excellent... read more

It was a neat atmosphere, with a guy playing the harp and families playing a ring toss game into a box while they waited for their food. I ordered an alpaca skewer, tamale, chili relleno, a potato dish with creamy cheese on top, and a local beer called Cusqueña. The whole meal cost about $12 USD. I lingered a while... More

We went there three times during our stay in Cuzco! That should sum it up. Waiters are very friendly and helpful and food is amazing, especially their aji de gallina and lomo saltado. Tres Leches dessert is also very good. Before your meal you get served these homemade breads that are prepared right in front of you in an Adobe... More

After a week of traveling through Ecuador, we were looking for good, non-fried food and this was the spot! We had the rotono which are stuffed peppers with meat, cheese and potatoes and quinoa apps. Both were amazing and I travel with a very picky eater! Also a great wine selection, good service, and beautiful atmosphere outside, with woodfire, under... More

The atmosphere on the outdoor patio looked great, however having no reservation we were sat inside which was fine too since the harp player came inside and played for us a bit. I ordered the pachapapa and my husband got the cuy. Both dishes were over seasoned (a lot coming from me since I love salty food) and overpriced. To... More

Our hotel was nearby and it became our go-to restaurant. We tried a few others around and in the centre of town but kept coming back. Delicious food, very nice garçons. The pizzas (oven-baked) are just superb and everything (we tried) on the menu was top. They have a fresh juice mixing mango with a local fruit (bumbo? Can't remember)... More

A romantic outside restaurant featuring fire grilled food including pizzas. Outstanding! The servers were attentive and the food was great. Best dining experience in Peru for our group.

We ate our first lunch here with our guide who knew the best restaurants in Cusco! We go for authenticity and this place is it with fresh food and great ambience. There were baskets of beautiful potatoes of different colors around the restaurant which is related to their name translation. The oven puts out remarkable dishes. None of us tried... More

You can't come to Cusco and not try the guinea pig! We ordered the whole roast guinea pig to share between 4 of us (need to be ordered in advance) plus a number of accompaniments such as stuffed potatoes, stuffed peppers, quinoa salad etc. We were seated near the wood fired oven which made for an interesting evening watching food... We came right at the beginning of dinner, so the tempo of the meal was a bit slow, but we Americans are people of speed anyway, so I might be too picky here. Peruvians take their time and rightly so. The food and drink were great, and the courtyard atmosphere was inviting and warm. We really enjoyed this restaurant, great... More
