Artsy place, artsy food

First off the food tasted just as great as it looked here - the presentation was nothing sort of inspiring. The alpaca was great and the desserts were phenomenal.

We went in for lunch after 2pm as after a morning sightseeing as it was close to our hotel. The food was fine when it arrived and may well have been cooked from scratch. However there were two chefs wandering around outside the restaurant who might have been gainfully employed in the kitchen. Final negative was expensive Evian when I... More

Small, glass enclosed dining area within the museum, with views of the interior courtyard. Food seemed to include a number of authentic dishes (I'm not an expert though). Service was great. Desserts were all interesting and unusual presentation. Very short walk from the Hotel Monestario.

This restaurant was elegance and talent. Enjoy the tastes of Peru. All the ingredients were local and fresh, combine this with talent and imagination and you have " The Map" in Cusco.

We had dinner here on Sunday evening. Although the service was excellent, the food was so bad and we were so disappointed that my son literally left the restaurant before I got the bill. The menu reads wonderfully and on paper, the dishes sound fantastic. Then the food comes. My son's veal cheeks with ravioli were lovely. My signature soup... More

I ate at Map Cafe as part of a tour group with Celebrity Xpedition on March 9, 2015. It was undeniably one of the best meals I have ever had! The service was impeccable. The atmosphere was beautiful. I had the pork cannelones and a dessert called Sacha Inchi. Do not miss this dessert! It is local to Peru and... More

Map Cafe restaurant is set within a glass pod within the Larco museum's courtyard in Cusco. The food was excellent and beautifully presented, service was impeccable and flexible - at night there is only a set menu, however the restaurant was happy to provide just one dish to one of our friends who wasn't hungry. It was a memorable meal.

MAP is a very small restaurant located in the Larco Herrera museum in Cusco. If you don't know about it, you wouldn't really know it is there. While it is in the museum, on a square across from the best hotel in Cusco (El Monasterio), you don't really know there is a museum there. You must come back on a... More

After two weeks in the area, we treated ourselves to the set menu, 3 course dinner. Very romantic, candles all over, calm music, very relaxed low key staff. Food was very tasty, rich bold flavour. Best meal we had in Cusco. In comparison to other restaurants it is double/ triple the price but well worth it. When we got home... More
