MAP is super cool....you basically eat inside of a small glass room that is inside of the Pre-Columbian Art Museum. The service was friendly and attentive. The food and presentation were both fantastic! My favorite was probably my main course, which was quinoa cannelloni. I would highly recommend this spot!!

Five of us ate here on our first day in Cuzco-- we had the afternoon free and decided to check out the MAP (Museo de Arte Precolombino) and eat at the MAP Cafe. The restaurant is interestingly sited--it's a large glass box that sits in the courtyard of the museum-- a clever way to incorporate a restaurant without destroying the... More

This restaurant is in a glass cube inside a museum. In addition to the wonderful local food, there was a harpist playing. It is small and friendly.

Avoid. First, I did not realize they had an a la carte menu until reading the Tripadvisor reviews. We got the 'gringo menu' of a pre fixe, with no indication that a second menu was available. Obviously a scam. Second, I became ill approximately 6 hours after dining here. I assumed it would be safe to eat the raw fish... More

We are sorry to read about the situation you went through during your trip to Cusco. Like a first statement we use a Pri Fix Menu like many restaurants around. In the other hand, we use excellent quality products and follow strict guidelines with regards to hygiene and food handling. Research shows that most food poisoning symptoms appear many hours... We LOVED MAP Cafe. We went on our last night, honestly with no expectations and were greatly surprised. The menu is a 3 course fixed price (About USD$55 per person). The location is beautiful inside the MAP museum. 2 blocks from Plaza de Armas. We started with a 3 mushroom and cheese soup, covered in fresh pastry. As main, we... More

One of our party of 4 overheard this restaurant being recommended to someone on the Hiram Bingham train from Machu Picchu. When it was listed as one of the restaurants recommended by our hotel, we decided to try it for dinner one evening. The restaurant is in the courtyard of a museum and it has tables and chairs under umbrellas... More

We had a lovely lunch sitting under an umbrella in the courtyard of this delightful restaurant. It is situated inside the museum courtyard, tucked away in a safe and atmospheric spot way from the street and passers by. The menu had a good range of choices and the meals were delicious. It is very close to Monasterio where we were... More

If you are looking for wonderful ambiance and great food this is the place in Cusco. Small restaurant, very unique - I am still dreaming about the mushroom quinoa soup!
