Sometimes it pays to listen to other travellers conversations

The older guy was speaking to the younger couple - I was in the seat in front of them ostensibly curating some of the 2000 photos I had taken in Machu Picchu - but he was saying that if you want to eat well in Cusco - you should go to MAP..... so we did and it was a wonderful... read more

Good contemporary Peruvian food in a nice environment (although the place does look like a fishbowl during the day-chose night dinner and bring a sweater). At night, only a set up menu is served but food was quite good, including a delicious alpaca steak and several original local vegetables. Service is perfectly adequate. A good choice overall

Really unique atmosphere and menu. A bit pricey w/ a prix fixe menu after 6:00 (which was a surprise). Food and service were impeccable!

Setting inside the Museo de Arte Precolombino in Cusco Peru is Map Cafe In a minimalist glass-and-steel box in the middle of a cobblestone patio holds Cusco's most fashionable restaurants. Excellent food , service and atmosphere. This rest can be one of the best rest in Peru.

The reservation that was made by my wife some three hours in advance could not be retrieved??!! However, we were kindly accepted and seated arriving at the restaurant. The service was very good and OK on all aspects. We were proposed a menu with a starter, a main dish and a desert. My wife usually eats one dish, certainly not... More

Absolutely the best fine dining in Cusco, forget the Marriott and others. Though they are almost always fully booked, I got there at 19:00 and had no reservation according to them, but negotiated my way into the almost empty restaurant. Beware, I have booked twice online with them and both times they never confirmed it. The food is exquisite and... More

It is located in the musem's patio having inside and outside sitting. Five minutes away from Plaza de Alarmas. Excellent choice if you like Peruvian cuisine. Great food and service as well. Separate trips but it is my second time visiting the Cafe and will continue to be one of my top choices! Beautiful place to be..

Elegant restaurant in cozy historical setting and museum. Great food and service. Everything was delicious from the starters, drinks, main course and desert. If you are looking for quality restaurant off the beaten path, this is the place to go!

We had a family dinner. The restaurant is in the yard if a museum. It is a small restaurant encased by glass. You can also have dinner in the yard. Overall, a small cozy, romantic restaurant with nice ambience. The food was excellent and the service was excellent as well. The only issue I take is the pricing. It is... More

They offer a fixed price menu but when we told them we preferred a la carte it wasn't a problem. We just paid an extra fee per person but is was only about $5pp. The ravioli and veal cheek appetizer was amazing. I ate it slowly to savor each bite! The ossobuco melted in your mouth. If you are looking... More
