Romantic!

This restaurant was in one of the most beautiful settings, and the price was reasonable (with the USD exchange rate). The scallops were definitely memorable.

The restaurant which is certainly not a cafe is situated in the courtyard of the museum. We went on a personal recommendation which was spot on. It is a bit like sitting in a fish tank as it is a glass box but at night it is beautifully lit with candles. The service is impeccable and so is the food.... More

To call MAP a cafe is a misnomer as the atmosphere, cuisine and service are so beyond what you would expect at a cafe. The chef has taken traditional Peruvian dishes and updated them in new ways. Our waiter, Enoc, was wonderful as was all the staff we encountered. He explained some of the dishes to us since we were... More

The museum stays open late and is well worth a visit before dinner. We had an outstanding meal and the atmosphere was beautiful. This was a wonderful, romantic evening. Be sure to save room for dessert!

Steps from our hotel (Belmond Hotel Monastery), the MAP Cafe was a surprise. By day, the courtyard of the museum it is associated with has a mundane appearance. After dark, the MAP Cafe, totally enclosed in glass, has the appearance of lightning bugs in a jar. Lit with candles and indirect light, the cafe glows with a come hither light.... More

MAP's modern menu was a breath of fresh air and the Pisco Sours were the best I had in Sth America. Each course was beautifully presented and I found it difficult choosing. The molten chocolate dessert a stand out.

The food was wonderful and beautifully presented! We couldn't decide between 2 appetizers, so they were nice enough to give a taste of each so that we could decide. Now that's service! The mushroom soup was absolutely divine!

Loved this small restaurant that came highly recommended by friends. We had the three course dinner and each of us were thrilled with our selections. It is a quiet spot in the courtyard of the Museum of pre-Columbian Art. The wait staff was very knowledgable and walked us through some unfamiliar dishes and split the check without a blink. It... We dined in a large group and the service was spot on. Every single dish was enthusiastically consumed. The exclamations abounded as the beautiful works of art were placed before us. Many of the dishes presented a little bit of theatre as the waiter would crack open a crispy crust to reveal a creamy soup beneath or a sauce dish... More

Wonderful attentive service. Great food and worth the trip. Different twists on old favorites. Offers a variety of options to an already diverse menu.
