Cusco - The MAP cafe is located in a glassed-in space in the courtyard of Museo de Arte Precolombino . We went with a group and the service and food was better than any five star restaurant we have visited. The staff explained Peruvian dishes we were not sure of and the presentation of food was far beyond expectations. Don't... More

The MAP restaurant is in a glass enclosed section of the courtyard of the Pre-Columbian Museum in Cusco. The setting is magnificent exceeded only by the level of service and quality of the food. The soups are individually poured and mixed at the table, appetizers are fresh and tastefully served and main courses are varied and delicious. We would love... More

The MAP cafe is located in a glassed-in space in the courtyard of the magnificent Museo de Arte Precolombino in central Cusco, on the same square as the great Hotel Monasterio. The evening was the final banquet of our wonderful tour to Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley by Adventure Canada in Toronto, and what a special final night together... More

Easy to have lunch here; quiet, service very good. A bit expensive, but peaceful, which we needed that day. We did not have to pay the museum entrance fee to have lunch at the restaurant.

My husband and I previously arranged to have the 7 course "La Cena del Oro" pre-fixe dinner at the MAP Cafe several months before our visit to Cusco. They used to offer this meal in the Pre-Columbian Art Museum, itself, for $375 per person, but it cost only $125 per person to have it in the regular restaurant. And it... More

An oasis of good food in this Cusco restaurant. Trained in New York Jorge Luis is one of Peru's most noted chefs. MAP café is housed in The Museum of Pre-Columbian art. The menu is Peruvian and Andean focused. Will be a joy to those who enjoy good food.. Well done MAP

This restaurant was recommended by our tour guide and is just off of the main square. Our starters, main courses (salmon) and desserts were all delicious! The dining room is in a modern glass "cube" built in the courtyard of a colonial building/museum.

From the moment we sat down the staff, especially our waiter (John) took care of us. The menu is carefully laid out with Peruvian inspired dishes. Compliments to the chef for pulling together so many flavor profiles. The quino canaloies and adobe pork are a must have. The atmosphere was classy, quite and inviting-- a nice escape from the hassle... More
