The restaurant is a little hard to find -- you weave your way through and around the museum -- but it's well worth the effort. It's an unusual space, with glass walls overlooking a courtyard but the food is top-notch, a combination of classic Peruvian dishes with a little modern flair.

The meal was so incredible, it is hard to describe. My main course was Andean Squash Gnocchi, with prawns. So delicious! And every course was delectable. I see others describe wanting to lick their plates after a meal here, and I laugh...I felt the same way! All 4 of us at the table were very impressed with the presentation and... More

Had we known before we arrived that it was a three course menu only we would never have booked. We don't really eat dessert and the starters were not great so it was actually a very expensive meal. Approx $60 US per person for food only. The floor is temporary so the tables wobble when anyone walks by, which was... More

We decided to try this restaurant based on a recommendation from our guide and the reviews here on tripadvisor. We were not disappointed. It is a small glass enclosed cafe within the art museum that is illuminated by candlelight. Dinner is a 3-course prix fixe menu that was 165 soles per person. I started with the Sara Lawa which was... More

A superb meal. We had a 3 course meal that was well presented. The dishes were interesting combination of ingredients that one might find at any fine American restaurant. Good wine selection.

We enjoyed one of the best meals ever at MAP café. At first appearances, the word 'cafe' seems to fit, however the service and the quality of the food far exceeds that of any café I've visited. Magnificent food, high level of personal service. Highly recommended.

The restaurant is within the Pre-Colombian Museum, and it is well worth a visit. The food was very well prepared and presented. The menu is a nice mix of Peruvian and Cusquenan food, but very appealing to Western tastes. Unfortunately the restaurant wasn't full, however I think this is likely to change when the word gets out about how good... More

My group of six enjoyed a beautiful evening at this restaurant. The setting was lovely and the food was quite good. As an added bonus we wandered around the museum between our main course and dessert.

cream of corn soup, was sooo good. I also had the poached salmon in olive oil. Must try the desserts there. Also they had some traditional live music while we were there, fantastic.

Our experience at Map Café was truly exceptional. Just a few steps from our hotel (Monasterio), it is located in a glass box in the middle of the art museum courtyard. Only 12 tables, the restaurant provides a very calming atmosphere in which to enjoy the dishes, each one as artistic as the pieces in the surrounding museum. We went... More
