The beautifully glass enclosed restaurant makes for a wonderful setting for an amazing evening. All our dishes were delicious with individual flavoring. A definitely stop when you're in Cusco.

My husband and I like to splurge on one restaurant in any city we visit. We reserved at Map Cafe in cusco for this reason..lots of great reviews..however, not from me...the best and most beautiful thing about map cafe is the building...period. A fantastic raised glass box in the middle of an old spanish style museum courtyard...beautiful etched wall, lots... More

This is a very chic little restaurant. It was sold to us by fellow travellers as a simple museum cafe with great food. We showed up a tad bedraggled (but not bad) to a half empty restaurant and told they were fully booked for the night and the next. We went back to our hotel next door (a five star... More

This a great example of the new cuisine of Peru. Local ingredients with international cuisine fusions. Great wine list too. The food was excellent .....but our waiter was incompetent. We warned him of my wife's mushroom allergy and the first dish he brought had mushrooms in it. He couldn't even get the coffee right. But we noticed that other waiters... More

MAP Cafe is far from your average museum restaurant-it's one of the most sophisticated eateries in Cusco and therefore all of Peru and the food was definitely more than solid. It was our first dinner in Cusco and I was feeling very much out of it from the altitude and didn't expect to eat much but everything was so good... More

I am not a professional reviewer, and this is just my opinion. During our recent stay in Cuzco, we had dinner at the café located inside of the Museo Arqueologico Peruano, just steps away from the Hotel Monasterio. It's more than a café, and it seems at first an odd setup, because it's enclosed in a large glass "box" in... More

We had a long leisurely lunch here, unhurried by the friendly staff. Both indoor and patio seating were available (this is a courtyard of the Museum). We ate indoors, although with 100% glass walls, it felt very open. Food was excellent

MAP cafe was highly recommended to us by tripadvisor, our travel agent and others. We made reservations for lunch for our first day as it was across the plaza from where we were staying and it was a delightful first meal in Cusco, made even more delightful by our friendly and knowledgeable waiter, Hector. We had the passionflower tiradito (trout... More

Good food, nice setting. I was alone at the restaurant, the server was very friendly and helpful, even in an informal way. She recommended very well in case of doubts, and knew the dishes quite well. I had a three course lunch with a glass of Malbec which was excellent. The price was not exaggerated although I could not pay... More

As other reviewers have alluded to, this restaurant is a glass enclosure in the courtyard of the museum. We had read good things about this place, thank you Tripadvisor, prior to having dinner here. We were excited to try it out and were hopeful the food and service would not disappoint us; they didn't. I ordered the osso buco while... More
