very tradition and very popular restaurant. Make sure come before the peak lunch hours. The portios is too big so better share the food.

we walked from downtown Arequipa..worked up an appetite by going by the Yanahuara Mirador first...everything about this place is great..we sat outside in the back and shared Chulpe de Camarones and some Ocopa with fried cheese and potato. Both were wonderful and we were so full we could not finish. The prices are very reasonable and service fine. If you... More

A group of friends and I had lunch here. We chose this restaurant based on great reviews and recommendations from locals. It did not disappoint. We ordered the Americano dish, a sampler plate with a variety of Peruvian foods. This may be a bit pricier than other restaurants, but the portions and quality make it worth it. They had excellent... Large portions, delicious food al around. The meats, the potatoes the raw veg garnish all of high quality and perfectly seasoned and cooked. The restaurant is massive, a maze, so many different environments to chose from. Fun. Picarones so good and the Panceta de lechón...(recommended by the waiter) was awesome. So big We had to share it. Chicha de jora... More

We were told by numerous locals in Arequipa that this was THE place to sample authentic Peruvian cuisine, and we were not disappointed. The restaurant is an easy 20 minute walk across the river to the Yanahuara area. We had their Tuesday special for two which was a mixed platter of Peruvian specialities. It was good hardy food, not gourmet by... More

I would recommend this Picanteria very much, ambiance, service, food are good, a bit heavy and much pork but if you try it make sure you drink an anisado at the end for proper digestion.

This is a very impressive restaurant, beginning with its size. There are several dining areas, all very attractively decorated. The waiters are very attentive. The food selection of local dishes is extensive and delicious. The serving sizes are large. It is an excellent choice for either business meetings (that is why I was there) or family gatherings. The atmosphere is... More

I've been eating a lot of cheap food, and wanted to try something higher quality before I leave Arequipa. La Nueva Palomino was a great choice. It has a nice setting, and clearly caters to locals, not unwitting tourists. The portion I received was large and absolutely delicious.

A bit out of city centre but definitely worth the walk if you want to enjoy local dishes like rocotto relleno, lechon or pastel de papas. Huge plates so come with an appetite!
