After finding this place we only went to El Ekeko. The food here is amazing, so delicious - we tried their fish (all types offered on the menu), their appetizers are as well very good! Just go there - you'll see yourself! Absolutely delicious! The waiters are very nice and helpful - always smiling. Try it out, I know you'll... More

The food is usually good, if you order meat specify how cooled do you want it, mojitos aren't the best they put far too much ice and soda What is excellent is the big statue of an EQUECO (Peruvian indigenous man full of gifts who brings luck) so have a picture with him!!!

Looking for an alternative to the awful Hotel food we cam across this place. Super busy with middle class folk getting drunk it seemed fine so in we went. English spoken, friendly staff, huge menu and lots of people watching to be done I would suggest this as a decent well priced place to go.

The location is very good. The restaurant is very pleasant and the food was plentiful and delicious. The only drawback for us was that there was no English menu, so one of the helpful servers answered our questions. All in all - good value, good food, and nice atmosphere.

The food and service at el ekeko is very good.Large assorted grill with 2 glasses of wine came to 62soles which I consider value. Would have no hesitation in going back .Upstairs within walking distance to main plaza in busy shopping area is distinct advantage as you can walk the meal of shopping

I live in Arequipa and have visited all of the El Ekeko's locations (malls, and Mercaderes downtown) multiple times since their openings. I have had so many negative experiences, I won't go back. They started as a good sandwich and juice place, similar to the ever-over-crowded Cappricios. Now their menu has climbed to prices of s/35 per sandwich and their... More

Great location, Food just OK. Service was less than mediocre: waiter was not interested in serving, we got our own drinks from bar counter!

I'll keep this short. We had a great grilled platter that came with an assortment of meats and some rather tasty veggies. The food was well worth the visit, but the service was not at all friendly, and for the price I think they should at least fake a smile once and a while. The atmosphere was more like a... More

Was taken here by a local friend for lunch while visiting Arequipa. Was impressed with both the food and service provided.

They have some classics as a Club Chicken Sandwich which is a really good one! really good location just a block far away from Main Square Arequipa. Servers are awesome! really good option for a lunch time.
