Was not as special as expected. Food (swordfish, cuy) was good, but not better than in other places in town. Also rather overpriced, compared to other restaurants around. However, when we left, we just saw the cooks (open kitchen, great!) finish other meals, which looked delicious, maybe we made a poor choices of meals?

I liked the food here a lot and the design of the place as well. I had a crayfih broth called chupe de camarones. It was exceptional! ut was the only proper restaurant i went to in Arequipa so i dont have any comparisons but overall i liked it alot.

Chicha reminds me of many restaurants in the states that use eye-popping decor to distract from the lack-luster food served. The ceviche was over powered with a mound of diced onions, and the vegetarian pizza nothing to note. The main course of pork was absent of flavor, and the chocolate cake was dry and disappointing. I ate at chicha in... More

Delicious Peruvian food and great service. We tried the cebiche, tequeños, rocoto and lomo saltado. All of them delicious and perfectly presented. The service was also perfect. Very nice location with some shops all around a patio. One of the best places in Arequipa.

Located in downtown Arequipa is one of the best places to have an experience with the Peruvian Gourmet food. Dishes made base on the typical food.

Went in for lunch without a reservation - this is usually needed. We were recommended to try the local Arequipan delicacy of chupa des camarones. This is a substantial soup made with river prawns (crayfish?). The portions were huge with delicious prawns in a sort of chowder containing eggs, potatoes and vegetables. The soup was filling and altogether great. Service... More

Not a nice way to end the day...Long waits (2 1/2 hours in total) with amazingly poor service. None of our desserts was available but they were charged in the bill. Suggest to skip this restaurant

One hour to get a first bottle of (plastic) water. Two hours to ask for two desserts that are out...warm White wine... Disgusting! Pretentious and totally not worth. Don't go

Zig Zag is my number one restaurant in Arequipa but this one comes to a very close second. There really are not a lot of restaurants in the city center that are in this caliber so everyone seems to gravitate towards Chicha, local and mostly tourists. I love the fact that this restaurant has maintained its identity and quality and... More

We went there June 2014. My friend ordered bone narrow and when she got her plat the food wasn't warm enough. She talked to the server and they were extremely ashamed and apologetic. Everyone from the server to the manager apologized. The food was amazing and the cocktail menu was great. Great ambiance, great food and great service.
