Great food with live music

From our guesthouse we were recommended to have lunch in this restaurant which was a good recommendation! Absolutely a good choice is the ceviche! And the portion served of all dishes are big.

A group of us went over one night and we were not disappointed. Not the first time I've been here. We order a parrilla, that is a dish to be shared. Basically, a portable grill is brought in and all dig in. The pisco sours kept coming, which as you guys in the know will know is a dangerous proposition.... More

A local recommended us this restaurant to try Cuy. And indeed it was good (can't compare it to other places, though). It's also a place that served vegetables and crispy fries (not the norm in Peru). The waiters were fast, though not overly friendly. But also not unfriendly. The price was rather expensive for Peru but that was expected. If... More

Very nice place and tipical music. Food was very tasty but the chupe de camarones had its pro's and con's. Pro: very good taste. Cons: the prawns were very tiny... like the ones in the maruchamp soup! (NOT KIDDING). It was a pity because tye taste was great but if they're serving baby prawns its a total wasye and i'd... More

We had quite a nice experience - recommended to go here to try the Cuy (but too expensive for something we might not like...) and ended up having some other traditional dishes including the stuffed pepper (so worth it!!) and lots of pork! There was a live band playing the afternoon we went and we had pretty decent service from... More

Been here twice now, and the food does not disappoint. As most outside restaurants in this city you'll have to get used to sitting on wobbly plastic lawn chairs though. The portions are very generous here and there is a lot to choose from which is nice. Last visit I had Adobo Arequipeno which was huge but very salty and... More

A short walk from the city centre this restaurant appeared popular with locals and tourists alike. With a few terraces and a nice interior garden this restaurant is a lovely place for a drink or something to eat. They offerer a variety of traditional Peruvian dishes including guinea pig, alongside grilled meats. Dishes were approximately 30-35 sols. Food was good... More

Overlooking the river with a garden setting and live entertainment on a Saturday afternoon we had enormous serves of Chiccarone (crackled pork belly) and Americano which includes pork, spicy stuffed pepper and vegetarian pancake. Don't order too much!
