Nice for lunch when it's empty (if you eat a big Peruvian lunch!)

This is a fine dining experience right in downtown. Their food is always good (love their fresh pasta) and while expensive, it's a nice experience. Their wait staff is not amazing but they usually aren't busy so it's not a loss. If you're in Arequipa for a while and want to try something different... read more

I went for dinner to this restaurant as a group of 5 after we were unsuccessful in getting a table at Zig Zag, around the corner. We ordered the two platers for starters, one an antipasta, and the second a mix of steak, cheese, salad. These were good plates to share between us, and reasonably tasty. For mains I decided... Great restaurant, we do recommend it to all of you travelling to Arequipa. We had there cui (guinea pig) and sangria and excellent deserts. Family from Praha, Czech Republic

I tried the local specialty - cuy - here. I wanted to try guinea pig (once in a lifetime right?) but I was pretty timid about getting the whole thing plus its head on my plate, which is how it is normally served. They have a boneless option here, which was a perfect compromise for me. Taste-wise, think really fatty,... More

Our dinner at Zingaro was a top experience from any perspective. The ambience stunning, the service attentive and timely but not pushy, the food awesome (starters and coy, which they grilled on request out of the menu), the cocktail (sangria) beautifully prepared and presented, the cost very reasonable compared to European standards. A place surely not to miss as part... More

The service was good since there was always staff available close to the table. The food on the other hand tasted very bland. My partner was under medical treatment at the time being so there was not a lot to choose from the menu since the dishes mostly contained milk, cheese or fresh vegetables, so he chose a simple appetizer... We had a late lunch here and between the two of us ordered the ceviche, rocoto relleno and mango salmon dish. All of the food was delicious and its a great restaurant to try traditional arequipan foods in a nice setting. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion of food that you get. Definitely recommend it.

We went here because it was recommended on trip advisor and it was close to our hotel and to the main square. My alpaca pepper steak was cooked just right, medium and with a very flavourful sauce (don't ask for medium rare, cause my husband's came rare and should have been cooked a bit longer. Our friend had boned guinea... More

I actually ate here twice. Once to try the Cuy Chactado and Ceviche, and once to try the alpaca and a dessert. The atmosphere of this restaurant is great and the food is delicious. Highly recommended. If I ever go back to Arequipa, I'm going here again.

This is a family owned restaurant. The staff and food is fabulous. You are family from your first visit and the kitchen is visible to all to see your food prepared. The kitchen is spotless and every dish is cared for from start to delivery to your table. 5 star rating from this diner. Great $$ and Great Food. Perfect... More
