Came alone and wanted high class peruvian food. I got it all to very cheap price given the standard on everything: food, atmosphere, friendliness. Go there and enjoy ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€

We were looking for typical Peruvian food and a good place we found. The restaurant is near the center of the old town. it was not busy at all. The portion were generous. The wine was very reasonably priced. It is not cheap by Peruvian standards but the food is more 'sophisticated" than other restaurants that have similar menu items.... More

Nice restaurant but nothing outstanding except the sangria which we both enjoyed. My girlfriend had the Alpaca and I had the Cuy. Both were extremely salty both otherwise tasty. Learn the phrase "No sal pro favor".

Went quite early for dinner without a reservation - good job we were early as the restaurant was completely full by about 7.30. It has a modern, bistro feel to the place, staff are friendly and there is a reasonable choice on the menu - not too much but enough for some interesting dishes. I think we got free bread... More

I went here very recently and was highly impressed with the level of service. The starter we had ordered was slightly late, which we had barely noticed, but the staff gave us free little platters to keep us going until it arrived, as well as free water and the offer for free dessert, which we declined, already too full on... Zingaro was a good but not outstanding dining experience in Arequipa. The restaurant is well located in the heart of the fine dining area and is well presented inside. The pisco cocktails were very good. My wife had a beautifully prepared cut of beef under a delightful mushroom sauce. I had Cuy (guinea pig) that was unremarkable. A very basic... More

Four Australians went to dinner with high hopes. The expensive wine was corked and graciously replaced. However, we were charged for the more expensive wine which was corked. There was no apology when this fairly significant error was noticed. The alpaca ribs in wine were tough with a primitive BBQ sauce over these 'chops'. The signature Peruvian shrimp chowder was... Zingaro is definitely one of the best restaurants in Arequipa! The atmosphere is terrific with an enthusiastic staff. It's obviously a little touristy - which validates its excellent reputation - but locals can also be seen dining. It's very easily located from the city center. The portions are more than generous, the menu is diverse, and the wine and drink... More

Delicious food, great service and lovely atmosphere. Good local food was on offer from cuy to alpaca, for the quality of food we thought it was reasonably priced!

We had rocoto relleno and trout. The trout was very good, but the rocoto relleno was not of the same standard. The menu is extensive, and would probably benefit from a bit of pruning.
