We had rocoto relleno and trout. The trout was very good, but the rocoto relleno was not of the same standard. The menu is extensive, and would probably benefit from a bit of pruning.

One of the best restaurants in Arequipa in a very nice old colonial house. The cebiche was wonderful and also the Alpaca Lomo (beef) with sweet potatos and yucca. A very good selection of wines too. The Price was quite high.

Having been in Peru for over 20 days before reaching Arequipa, we had had a variety of foods from typical local fare to haute cuisine, cooking classes and gourmet tours. But this meal was a foodie delight: the catch of the day ceviche was excellent with the typical sweet potato garnish, the lomos saltado appetizer ( we substituted guacamole for... More

We went there based on Lonely Planet recommendation with our 2 kids (11 and 13). The restaurant is very nice and they accepted kids. There is a nice view on the kitchen, which is interesting since you can see how they fry cuys. I had cuy, my wife had the trout and my kids the llama ribs. The food was... More

We walked in to Zingaro for a late dinner in April 2014. Zingaro is a very cool and swanky restaurant.....dim-lighting, quiet, and a great place to sit down and have a conversation. I only ordered a glass of red wine, and the fried Cuy -- and it was fried, so I do not have much to review. The cuy was... More

I was excited to try Zingaro based on the reviews we read prior to our visit. Our hotel made us a reservation and the staff promptly seated us with a view of the working kitchen which was quite nice. The food was average in our opinion. Our experience at Zig Zag the night before had been so excellent that this... More

We had an excellent dinner here. We highly recommend the lomo stroganoff! The restaurant was mostly full of your groups and their guides who most probably brings them there. Unfortunately we decided to return during the advertised operations hours for an early dinner the following day before we left for Lima but we were turned away, despite the entire restaurant... More

We were looking for a nice dinner out in Arequipa and popped into Zingaro on a Friday night at about 7pm. No reservation needed, though it became much busier in the subsequent two hours. We ordered the ceviche de estacion (It was a white fish) and house pisco sours to start. The ceviche tasted great and fresh but many of... More

We booked this restaurant, purely by passing it as it looked trendy and had an interesting menu - modern Peruvian. This proved to be an excellent choice. We both had the huge house ceviche as a starter! Delicious. The main of Fish in herbs was superb. The service is very warm and friendly and the meal was excellent value. Its... More

Went there on our last evening in Arequipa to have a real good last dinner and we're absolute not disappointed. We had fish if the season ( dorade) and alpaca. Both were great and with that little extra spice that makes the difference.
