The Alpandina dishes offered by the Zig Zag Restaurant are the result of a creative culinary fusion deeply rooted in the mountains, where the sun endows foodstuffs with energy and balanced components. The dishes most representative of Alpandino gastronomy arise from a marvellous synthesis of unique time-hallowed ingredients from all over Peru, combined with ancient and modern culinary techniques from the Alps and the Andes. One of the results is our great speciality: Volcanic-Stone-Cooked Meats and Fish.

Recommend by our daughter, it met all the expectations that were set

Book your table, we were lucky to get the last one on night. Great menu selection with giant bibs to make you feel like a small child. The food is exquisite, I had the biggest llama steak cooked medium rare and it was superb. The next day, all who joined our trip to Colca had eaten here, all with... read more

Such a pleasure to eat here, with food prepared with care and pride. Asparagus , Parmesan , procscioutto shared starter...excellent. Trilogy of meat and trout main. Shared passion fruit ice cream dessert. Excellent cab from Chile. Service prompt without being rushed . Overall really good meal, highly recommended .

it is a bit pricy but totally worth it, if you like meat! the alpaca was cooked perfectly, the service was great. you do have to reserve in advance though, which is normally a good sign. don't miss out on this one!

We had a fantastic meal here. The trilogy of meat and fish were stunning and well worth splashing out on a more expensive meal. Good wine, a cheese platter and a nice atmosphere all give lasting memories from this great restaurant.

We travelled to Arequipa 2 and a half years ago and visited Zig Zag and really enjoyed the meal. We returned today and our memories served us correctly! The meal and service was great - definitely recommend if you are travelling to Arequipa. Love from Australia

On our last night in Peru two weeks ago we had dinner at Zig Zag. So glad we did. We enjoyed the atmostphere and the service was top notch. The food was excellent. I would highly recommend eating here.

Great atmosphere, great food, great service! We had the menu option and all our four courses were very delicious. My favorite was the main course with Alpaca meat on a hot stone served with homemade sauces. The staff is very professional, attentive and friendly. They fulfill your wishes with a smile. Most of them speak multiple languages (one even spoke... More

Book ahead!! My friend and I decided to treat ourselves after a week in Arequipa trekking. Despite being made to feel like the happy couple with our candlelit table in the corner the atmosphere was lovely. The food was out of this world - three mini steaks (alpaca pork and beef) served sizzling on a hot volcanic slab. The price... More

Zig zag has a great atmostphere and very attentive waiters. Our table wasn't ready at the time of reservation so our group got a round of pisco sours on the house while waiting. The food was simply fantastic. You have a variety of meats (and crawfish :) to chose from that you get to fry yourself on a volcano-stone grill.... More

Just visited this restaurant and it was an amazing restaurant. I speak little English but the waiter helped us understand what to order. The food was beautifully cooked with interesting tableware. Good quality food and good portion sides. We had a number of sauces with our dish, which our waiter explained each one. Would recommend to visit this restaurant if... More
