Description: The Alpandina dishes offered by the Zig Zag Restaurant are the result of a creative culinary fusion deeply rooted in the mountains, where the sun endows foodstuffs with energy and balanced components. The dishes most representative of Alpandino gastronomy arise from a marvellous synthesis of unique time-hallowed ingredients from all over Peru, combined with ancient and modern culinary techniques from the Alps and the Andes. One of the results is our great speciality: Volcanic-Stone-Cooked Meats and Fish.

Came here twice during a 4 day visit. The food is great, tender meat and smart combinations making this place also original compared to other resto's in AQP. The waiters are very friendly and helpful, price for all this is reasonable although not the cheapest in town.

You will go back a second time it is that good. The alpaca steak is amazing. The homemade breads and butter and olive tepenade delicious. Not to mention the pumpkin soup-wow. Prepare to be in culinary heaven. Great service too!

Have never had a bad meal at ZigZag. This time I had the Anticucho (marinated beef hearts) with creamy cheesy quinoa and a delicious ratatouille as side dishes. Others at our table and the three meats platter (alpaca, beef and pork) which were also excellent. Pisco sours are very good

I've been travelling in Ecuador and Peru for almost eight weeks now and this is the best meal I've had so far. Great ambience in this quiet location with French-style service and cooking but using local ingredients in very creative ways. My appetizer was a quinua salad with shrimp in the shape of a pyramid surrounded artistically by slices of... More

My wife & I had dinner 2 nights ago. Very attractive venue and pleasant welcome. I had duck as a main course: it was tough which is quite an achievement with duck fillet. As a desert, I had the cheese platter. It was a real rigmarole to get them to understand my request to take the cheese out of the... More

One of the best places to eat around Main Square. The restaurant is located in a beautiful street. Decor and food are both excellent. Highly recommend. It is wise to make an advance booking. they usually are booked.

I visited Zig Zag in November with a rather large and young group of people while we were visiting Arequipa. We all really enjoyed our evening. The staff were incredibly friendly and polite. Considering we were a big group we did not wait too long for food. We were seated on the upper floor section where you could see the... More

This is a nice bistro overlooking the San Fransisco Plaza and Church in a lovely old up and down building (not disabled friendly) . Salad with prawns, asparagus, artichokes, quail eggs was excellent. Quinoa based soup was hearty. The main dishes on heated stones, the house speciality, were bland, and generally their version of Peruvian cuisine was just trite and... More

Everything we ordered was delicious. People at this restaurante are very nice and the place is comfortable. We were there about 3.5 hours, relaxed and delicious dinner. Very good wines. Great desserts. Their meat on the rock is wonderful!
