Good lobster

We had intended to eat at the fish market over the road, but were too late (9 pm)! This place seemed almost as good though. We had the lobster - 2 between 4, $25 for each lobster. It was served with veg, rice and chips and was delicious. Service was very friendly. When we arrived we were really... read more

The food was cold, the owner was very rude and unfair. I went with my sisters and friends. We ordered Lobster and we were given different prices each time. When we brought up the inconsistency the owner gave us a bad attitude and over charged us. We asked for butter and we waited over 30 minutes because they needed to... More

We got this restaurant because it came with out tour package. We found a bug in our pasta and when we told the owner (a woman) She was VERY rude. I was so disappointed that on vacation my family and I were treated so poorly. I come to the Galapagos often and will never return to this restaurant.

The package we purchased included meals at this restaurant. It was nice, the food was good. It's a very simple rustic type of place

My husband and I had lunch there on our first day in Puerto Ayora. It was late around 1:00pm, we looked around other restaurants and because of the menu we decided to try it; it seems to us the menu was more ecuadorian than international food. My husband had a fish tuna and he said it was tasty ( he... More

First I would like to clarify the locator map is not correct. The restaurant is located about 7 blocks north of the main dock along Ave Charles Darwin. The pin point is not there. El Chocolate is a smallish place right on the main drag. The seating is mostly open air and has good spots to view the happenings along... More

This restaurant has quite a nice view though does go back a bit so depends on which table you get. The food is ok, good value for money. We had lunch 3 times and only once did we have to wait for our food. They offer a set menu which it is why it so popular but we just had... More

We used Lonely Planet rating to select El Chocolate, and wish we had checked Trip Advisor instead. The service was friendly and good, the food was marginal, but the establishment was not clean. Our party of six ordered a variety of food - pasta or fish dishes mainly - no one was thrilled with the taste / quality of their... More
