I will start by saying that some that know me would say that I am somewhat of a cynic (No idea why, I am an angel). That being said, the food at Salvia is the type that you can classify as truely Artistic talent. The menu is purposely (wisely) small, but has a great variety. (I cannot express in words... More

This is one of the best places I've ever been. Food is really nice: the hamburger, fish cakes, the salmon pate, the hummus.... Gin is delicious and the desserts are absolutely incredible. This is by far the best restaurant in town. Totally recommended

Last night was my first time at Salvia Restaurant in Cuenca, but it won't be my last. Chef Gavin and his wife, Karen, who tends to the dinner guests, go all out to provide an excellent dining experience. The menu is small, but varied and changes monthly to showcase Gavin's talents with seasonal offerings. My friends, John and Holly shared... More

What can I say to do this incredible restaurant justice? Firstly, out you go and have a meal here! Myself and my girlfriend arrived on a Sunday afternoon without a reservation (make a reservation) and they very kindly made space for us. This restaurant is busy, and rightly so! They are an inspiring duo. Gavin prepares all dishes and Karen... More

We found about it through trip advisor, and what a good find! The food was great, the service was great, prices are modest, what else can you look for! Just visit it if you can.

There are a lot of cooks in Cuenca turning out good food. Gavin Quinn, owner of Salvia, is an internationally trained chef who takes cuisine to a consistently higher level. Ingredients, presentation, and flavors are spot on. Come here for a great meal in a lovely setting (all at extremely reasonable prices).

First, stop reading this and just make a reservation. Everything is top notch - service, food, and ambience. SERVICE is fantastically friendly: I was in Cuenca for only one day and had arrived too late the night before to make a reservation. When I arrived the next day, I learned that they were fully booked for Sunday roast. In spite... More

This place has all 4. When you want to eat in a nicer setting... This is it. When you want food that comes from the effort of a foodie with heart .... This is it. When you want the person who serves you to be concerned and shows interest in you ... This it it. My family enjoyed all that... More
