I came here during lunch and ordered the daily 'almuerzo'. I was pleasantly surprised there was a vegetarian option available (lentil patty). All almuerzos are served in a restaurant are served first with a bowl of soup then your plate. the owner is very friendly always greeting patrons with a handshake when entering. There is a bell you can ring... More

I visited Moliendo Cafe at about 7:00 in the evening. There were several other diners there, but it appears to me that their peak time is at the lunch hour, about 1:00-3:00 PM, when many Ecuadorians eat their main meal of the day. It appears to be a very popular restaurant and, as far as I'm concerned, for good reason.... More

We went to this place after the place we wanted to visit another place which seemed to have closed down. I am so glad that happened as we ended up having a fabulous lunch here! My boyfriend had the daily special three course lunch - awesome value for $2.50 and i had this crepe like thing with a mixture of... More

A small Colombian restaurant with fantastic food and low prices. Great service too. It's not fancy but for the price it is outstanding. Everyone raves about the Arepas (like Mexican gorditas). Me too. They are tasty and filling with thick corn tortillas as a base. They don't skimp on the ingredients either...if you order the lomo you'll be pleased with... More

The lunch here never disappoints me...choosing the carne de res a la plancha is the best! always fresh, tasty so tasty. The soups are killer good, always accompanied by a banana. And the juices are always different and fresh! But, then they have the arepas, colombian style! and I LOVE them! I have designed my favorite that includes guacamole, hogao... More

This little "Mom and Pop" shop really brings a lot to the table. Great value, great food and a comfy vibe. Hearty and simply prepared Columbian food that is fresh and cheap! Nothing on the menu tops $6.00, and Almuerzo is usually $2.50 or $3.00. The owners are working the floor and make you very welcome with good service and... More

I ordered the almuerzo, which was a glass of juice, a banana, soup, chicken breast, potato salad, rice, and dessert for $2.50. That's right - $2.50 for all that food. It was really tasty, too. My partner ordered pork that came with rice and a salad for about $6. It was all really good and the place was packed -... More

Tasty Colombian food with friendly owners and a cute little place. (Great prices, too!) Be sure to ring the bell on your way out.

Whether you're a first-timer, or an old friend, the owner greets you warmly, with a handshake or a hug. Today, Saturday, we enjoyed the almuerzo - bananas to start, guava jugo, and we chose the pollo option (others are beef or vegetarian). A crispy-baked chicken leg, rice, and fresh beet salad - all fresh, hot, and satisfying. If you're in... More

Nice side trip out of Ecuador and into Columbia! It looks like and sounds like maybe not a place for gringos (can we be blunt here?). But step right into the adventure. Order something you've never heard off and enjoy, it will be a treat. The Columbian soft drinks and the food are worth the trip.
