Great setting, but not great experience

Three couples had dinner together at Todosantos. We were on the lowest level in a beautiful setting, but the experience didn't measure up to the setting. Our first disappointment was the lack of a reasonable selection of wines. Todosantos could only offer their own, in house, vintages, which are generally sweet. We were hoping for a typical range of wine... More

We had been toTodos Santos in January and were delighted with food, service, and ambience. Thus we brought friends there in February to share. The atmosphere is still amazing. But it took hour and half to get served, we saw our waiter twice. The breaded shrimp was caked in hard cold batter - truly awful. They do not serve wine except... More

The restaurant has an amazing ambiance, the view is fantastic over the river Tomebamba, the food was of a high quality but a little pricey for Cuenca. Service was great, presentation of food very good. We also took the tour of the church and grounds, our guide, Patricia was fantastic so knowledgable, so friendly, so helpful. The original bakers oven... More

Still an active convent some of the building as been converted into a restaurant. The ambiance is very nice and there are views of the Rio Tomebamba through the windows. The food is excellent and would be considered a fine dining experience. if you are wary of stairs I would advise against it. Worth a visit

We made a reservation online (and confirmed it by phone) for 6.15 PM. We were 6 people -- including 4 TripAdvisor Destination Experts, but this was not disclosed to the management. When I arrived at 6, a staff member told me I could sit at our table and wait for the others. I thanked her, but said I'd wait outside... More

I'm compelled to write a second review after my last visit. My first two dining experiences were excellent - flavorful and tender meat. My third visit I ordered the same meal and the meat was barely edible. Very tough and stringy. I sure hope they aren't becoming complacent with all the great reviews they've been getting. This last experience will... More

It is a very beautiful place with a nice view of the Tomebamba river. My first experience was so good, I decided to go back. I ordered the same dishes because they were delicious the first time, but everything was wrong with the taste, the quality of the fish and even the wine. So, I thought that maybe the had... More

I found this excellent place while vacationing in Cuenca. The food is excellent, and mostly organic. The building is a restored convent from the last century, and the views of the river are very relaxing. The chef was selected one of the best in Cuenca, and after visiting the place 3 times I agree. He has his own vegetable garden... More

This place was recommended to us but upon arriving we sought out the host and after standing around (with empty tables)for 30 min we got the impression that they didn't want us there so we left!the atmosphere looked good but I can't judge the food because the service was lacking so much that we didn't get a chance to try...
