It is a nice place where you can get really good argentinan food but it has few tables so be aware to make a reservación or you will be standing waiting for a table

There's not much to say about this place except it's a must-visit if you ever go to Cuenca! Food was amazing! Their "discos" options are great!

A few blocks from the center of the city is a newcomer to Cuenca´s fine cuisine. Located on the corner of Calle Larga and Hermano Miguel, at the top of the large stairway from the river, is La Esquina (The Corner). The food is outstanding, and among the menu options are meals for two. Prices are reasonable and portions are... More

We had a sandwich and Spanish sald, both were excellent, very fresh and well presented. The atmosphere was very nice. We will be back, highly recommend.

I love the way they serve their food. Argentinian family style. Huge paella shaped pans are brought to the table in a variety of dishes. They say it feeds two it feeds at least three four if you're tiny eaters.

This restaurant, which does have some very good food (including a fondue starter and good beef) is located right on Calle Larga, one of the busiest streets in the historical center of Cuenca. It was highly recommended by the hotel in which we were staying. We were in the mood for an early dinner (6-7) and were seated close to... More

We were directed to La Esquina by our hotel (Case San Rafael~also reviewed on Trip Advisor) staff and visited on our first night in Cuenca. We had a Hot Brie appetizer, followed by a dish of beef tenderloin served in a bubbling cream sauce with potatoes and whole peppercorns, wish I could remember what it was actually called, Something de... We wanted to take some good friends whom we were visiting, out to dinner, and told them to just pick a place. Our good friend also ordered for the four of us -- a meat dish swimming in a delectable sauce loaded with mushrooms, and surrounded by crisp slices of potatoes. All was simply to die for, including the appetizer... More

Service and food were awesome and timely. Very clean and well lite. Brought in wine without any question or problem but small corkage fee. Definitely the better of the 2 very well known Cuenca Ecuadorian food restaurant's. Excellent value for your $. Very accommodating. Would eat there again an again
