Food was cold. Meat not cooked properly. Very disappointed. Pricey for standard of food Too many items crammed on table most of them not very good. Much too spicy

Delicious meal! You must go, and make sure to make a reservation ahead of time, because its always busy. Our family of 4 ordered their "mar y tierra tiesto" which was sirloin in one dish and prawns in the other. The dishes bring delicious sides (veggies, rice, potatoes) and ordered a jug of strawberry-passion fruit juice. Family friendly, in the... More

I enjoyed the food, but be sure to go hungry. The portions are generous. The service got off to a slow start, but then it was fast and furious as the food kept coming. I did the tasting menu with seafood. However, next time, I think I'll just order one of the chciken or beef items off the menu. Best... More

Great good, really really tasty. The restaurant has nice atmosphere and our waiter let us use his phone charger, nice guy. The food was amazing and the price was unbelievable. What was $40 that night would easily have been an $80 meal in the states. Presentation was great and it was served quickly. Make a reservation!

Tiestos is terrific. We had a combination dinner last year. I remember the delicious langostino. And the tasty sauces.

All we 've heard for months is that you have to go to Tiesto's. Well we did and walked away very disappointed.Meet friends there and we ended up with a huge bill that did not equate to the average food that was served. The ambiance is wonderful and the owner is Mr. Personality Plus, however those two factors could not override... The restaurant has a nice ambient, with live music, decorated with Ecuadorian hand crafts. The waiters are fast, friendly and handling with a high standard. The meals are not cheap comparing to other Restaurants, but the standard is pretty high. I was really amazed by the different salsas, in total 10. The vino de la casa was also pretty good.... More

We had dinner at this great restaurant in Cuenca. The food was up to American standards for start to finish. One of the great items is all the wonderful sauces that arrive with your meal. If you go to the restaurant look at the salsa display. Second item that was a great experience was the desserts. The owner paints the... More

When we first went to Tiestos I was not sure about what to expect. Our friends had recommended the place, but we ha to try it to make up our minds. As soon as we got there and they brought us 5 little clay bowls with different sauces (two hot/sweet sauces, one really hot sauce, a mild sauce, and chimichurri)... More

I have only been to Tiestos once on my last night in Cuenca but I plan to go back as soon as possible. Tiestos offers an eclectic and colorful ambiance that is exotic but the quality and artistic presentation of the food and especially the desserts were truly creative works of culinary artistry. The entrees of hot pot shrimp and... More
