Great food, great ambience, great service. As you arrive you are greeted with a fairy tale house. You are seated in the middle of the garden. The waiters are kind and the owner Carmine comes to your table and offers you the specials. There are no menus only big blackboards hand written. The carpaccio di manzo, the veal Francaise... The... You must try this place when you visit Quito. Italian food in a villa setting with outdoor seating when then weather permits (they do have heaters). Outstanding menu and wine selection. Special occasions or just get-together with friends, business or family. Everything is outstanding.

One of Quito's classier spots. Fine Italian dining. Menu written out on a whiteboard and rolled over, same as dessert tray. The service and food are excellent.

The way the dishes are presented on a blackboard is kind of peculiar for such a nice restaurant but it makes sense along the way. I always pick a different combination and have never been dissapointed. The owner (Carmine) is very sweet and usually strolls around the tables to check everything is in order.

The house is beautiful, service is great too. Food is mostly italian, not my favorite, but it was good. Ladies: go to the upper bathroom it is really nice.

We had a late night dinner here on our first night in Quito and the restaurant is spectacular. You'd never know it from the discreet access way from the street, but behind the walls is a stunning old villa and a wonderful restaurant. Excellent service, too many mouthwatering options to choose from, a highly opinionated owner who does not shy... More

I wish I could use my hands here to describe "The Exquisite Experience That Is Carmine." The name includes the restaurant as well as the passionate artist of hospitality and cuisine who owns and operates it. He and his lively, lovely restaurant will save you thousands of dollars on trips to Italy. Italia has come to Quito. Buon divertimento!

I'll start by saying that the place is really amazing and beautiful. The house is stylish, calm and really is a worthy experience. However the italian food I have tried (twice) was far from being excellent. The lasagna was bland and the pomodoro sauce clearly is from a can. This was truly a disappointment considering the prices. I wouldn't recommend... More

There is nothing to fault here - from the greeting, the welcome by the chef/patron to the service and the food A RedSnapper in salt perfectly cooked and sesame crusted tuna were highlights A special thanks to the patron for providing us transport back to our hotel when there were no taxis available Any visit to Quito should include a...
