Consistently excellent over the years it is my favored upscale restaurant in Ecuador. In a small alley off Av Republica it has a modern, elegant and comfortable setting. It offers a large and a smaller degustation menu as well as a la carte. The cuisine is peruvian with some mediterranean fusion and everything we had, ceviche, crab, fish and meat... More

I had a solo dinner while on a business trip, so decided to check the tasting menu. I asked to change a dish tough, which was immediately accepted, excellent note. the menu proved to be great, accompanied by a very good pisco sour and a good option of red wine. The whole menu was great, but the 'lechon' proved to... More

This is a Fine restaurant with wonderful design and atmosphere. The wait staff helps you from the moment you park your car until you leave. The wine selection is extensive although we sampled it visually. The food is South American with many fusion elements. Our dishes came with bsmall dollops of chimichurri and spicey mango. The complete menu would satisfy... More

We had a wonderful dinner in this beautiful restaurant. The food was just delicious, we had a 7 course degustation menu and every course was excellent. The service was very professional and friendy, the atmosphere elegant.

We were treated to an amazing fun evening at Zazu. We were traveling with a group and were given a hands on cooking demonstration where we prepared the ingredients for ceviche. The is well organized and the ingredients were very fresh. Fun to learn. We were then escorted to our tables where we were served a fixed menu. First was... More

We went to Zazu on our last night in Quito, as we read about it, looked at their informative webpage&were very positvely surprised what we found. A very high end cuisine, just north if the qirky&rather too touristy Mariscal quarter. Nice interior, decorated wit different flowrs, nice bar&wine 'corner'& good separation of differen rooms&tables. We tried the 4 &7 course... More

On our last night in Quito we decided to take our Airbnb host out to dinner at a nice place. This place had amazing reviews but we were a bit disappointed. First off, it is NOT an Ecuadorian joint- our host told it is was more Peruvian. She had the ceviche and told us it was not traditional at all.... More

Whenever I come to Quito, I have to go to the Zazu. It's always a highlight. I can highly recommend the tasting menu. This way you will experience a spread variety of the creativity of the chef. My highlight during the last visit in December 2015 was a lobster and a tuna tartar. The lobster was served in an open... More
