Description: Our restaurant is located in Quito's Historical Center on the second floor...
Our restaurant is located in Quito's Historical Center on the second floor of Sucre National Theater, Cultural Patrimony from the XIX century, an expression of renaissance classicism. In the entire second floor it is located the most important restaurant in Quito, THEATRUM Restaurant & Wine Bar that offers an extraordinary menu of the vanguard Mediterranean cuisine. One of our emblematic dishes is the Grilled tender octopus with mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, garlic tossed in pesto vinaigrette. Our classic Ecuadorian prawns on the grill with avocado mousse and tomato fondue.

We dined here with a 15-person travel group the evening of June 22, the last night of a two-week adventure in Peru and Ecuador. Staff was attentive and accommodating, food presentation was enjoyable, dishes were tasty. Especially enjoyed the dessert featuring 5 Ecuadorian fruits, complete with written descriptive souvenir guide! Only downside was that dishes were merely warm rather than... More

Our first meal in Quito, and turned out to be the best meal we had in Quito. The sea bass I ordered was very well made and very delicious. The complementary appetizer was really good too. The fried banana dessert with ice cream was to die for. Service was excellent. We stayed near the restaurant and arrived at our hotel... More

Standards of food and service are excellent at this restaurant, and the atmosphere and setting is great too. The menu and wine list offer an extensive list of choices. The restaurant will arrange transportation from and back to your accommodation, a service which is included in the price.

Service levels, food quality and environment all excellent. I have already recommended this restaurant to others and would definitely return. The restaurant offers free hotel pickup and delivery, which is a nice touch.

Stopped here with a group of about 80 people while touring Quito. A very nice buffet lunch was provided and while service was a bit harried by the full house they managed to take care of the beverage and plate clearing chores with a smile. A real treat was the exceptional music and dancing entertainment that started after most had... More

As you would expect from a restaurant in the National Theater, there was a flair for the dramatic in the setting and presentation of the food. We went with the lighter choices and all four in the party were happy. In fact, based on the food alone, it was the best we has in Quito. The ambiance is a bit... More

Fabulous meal, fell into this restaurant by accident and never looked back. Strongly recommend the tasting menus of Ecuadorian fare.

We were treated here for dinner and it was a real treat. The food was typically Ecuadorian and was prepared to a very high standard. Very highly recommended, especially when complemented by wine from their very comprehensive wine list. The restaurant itself if upstairs the National Theatre and itself has a theatrical motif with tall red curtains. Whilst there is... More
