Description: Our restaurant is located in Quito's Historical Center on the second floor of Sucre National Theater, Cultural Patrimony from the XIX century, an expression of renaissance classicism. In the entire second floor it is located the most important restaurant in Quito, THEATRUM Restaurant & Wine Bar that offers an extraordinary menu of the vanguard Mediterranean cuisine. One of our emblematic dishes is the Grilled tender octopus with mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, garlic tossed in pesto vinaigrette. Even though it has 4.5 ☆ by Trip Advisor I'm given THE AT RIM a 5. We enjoyed today an excellent lunch buffet and a soprano with much delightful voice. Everything was excellent and their Shrimp Ceviche out of this workd. Service also excellent and friendly staff. Highly recommended whoever visits the Old City area. By the way it shows... More

The atmosphere has a strong contrast between the heavy red curtains black chairs and red walls. The service was efficient and nice, the food was intended to be modern and stylish but they still have some work to be done. But i think it was a good experience.

As the suggestion of our travel agent, 4 of us dined at Theatrum. We were picked up at our hotel and driven to the restaurant. Fabulous interior, amazing staff and delicious food! An unexpected gourmet treat! After dinner, a driver returned us to our hotel. We're still talking about the great time we had!

Definitely the best meal we had in Quito but also the priciest. Totally worth it if you wish to spoil yourself, still cheap by North American standards plus they will pick you up and drop you off at your hotel. Here you will get the highest quality meal in a sumptuous & unique decor. I opted for the taster's menu... More

As part of our tour, we had the pleasure of eating lunch here. They offered a buffet in a beautiful part of what I believe is an opera house. The buffet selection was quite extensive offering delicious Ecuadorian food. The ceviche, with popcorn or fried plantains, was delicious. The other main dishes of fish, chicken and pork (I don't know... More

We had a superb lunch buffet of Ecuadoran food, and I had a little taste of everything---which was a ton of food. Soup to dessert: all delicious. Then an opera singer performed for all of us, which was great fun.

less inventive and an (baroque) interior you have to like, and very expensive, but simply excellently made dishes and taxi to and from is included!

This restaurant rates with the best in Tokyo, L.A. New York and Paris. I wasn´t expecting much, for some reason this restaurant doesn´t show up as #1 on TripAdvisor. And, the location, is a little out of the way, for good reason. In a magnificient room that is part of the National Theatre this restaurant pulls out all the stops.... More

Is always excellent. The service is very professional, attentive and helpful. The dish presentation is awesome, and the flavors even better - I love the sirloin with foie gras and portobello. They have a very good variety of wines and cocktails. If you call, you can even coordinate with their included shuttle services to the restaurant and back to your... More

Our dinner was excellent. The waiters were very attentive and helpful. The dish presentation was amazing, and the flavors even better - I even liked octopus for the first time! They have a wide variety of wines and cocktails. Also, the portions are large for gourmet food .. So don't eat a large lunch if you plan on going there... More
