This restaurant caters all over the city and it is not surprising to see why because the food is absolutely delectable Ecuadorian cuisine! I also sampled the spaghetti which though very good an deserving of its own merit, was not quite like spaghetti at home and therefore I might recommend to stick with the Ecuadorian food-- llapingachos, locro, churrasco, etc.... This appears to be an attempt at being creative but falls down on some basic cooking. Had the tuna cerviche but the tuna was way over cooked and tasteless but the sauce was nice. The mixed seafood brocehette again had over cooked tuna and over cooked shrimp.. The warm vegetable salad was unremarkable. The coconut shrimp had potential to be... More

We went to this restaurant twice for dinner during our week in Quito. It's a few minutes from the hustle and bustle of Foch Plaza with big windows that look out onto the street. The food was excellent, reasonably priced and varied including plenty of Ecuadorian dishes. Service was good, and there's the bonus of a good resident guitarist and... More

Great food. Started with a free "snack" of steamed (I think) palmetto with two dipping sauces, a beet sauce and a hot pepper sauce. Next had a trio of empanada, shrimp with cornmeal pastry, cheese and corn with a traditional flour pastry, and chicken with a plantain pastry. All excellent. Also had salad, one warm with corn, palmetto, pineapple, red... More

An extensive selection of dishes, so exceeding expensive but good value for what it offers with a variety of local dishes

A very nice restaurant. Good food, reasonably priced. Very courteous service with live Spanish music and singing from a good guitarist not drowning out conversation. A haven of calm from the brash noisy Plaza Foch just around the corner. We tried to find another restaurant with good food the following night that was open without success so happily returned.

Nice restaurant, seemed very comfortable and family run. Nice wine list, with good South American selections and reasonable prices. The mene was large, and we were able to share appetizers. Only downside is the beer selection is very limited in Quito, mainly only the national beers and few imports. The service was excellent, and they were able to accomodate our... More

This restaurant is conveniently located in the heart of the Mariscal Sucre district of Quito. It has quite an extensive menu of mainly Ecuadorian dishes. On this trip we had been all over Ecuador and a fair bit of Colombia too and this stood out as being the best dinner of the trip. For starters we both had the prawn... More

The food was amazing for the price, $8-15 on average per plate with large potions. The staff spoke English. Unfortunately on the night we were there all the tables filled within 15 minutes of each other. The service was slow, but the staff was apologetic and aware of the situation. I would recommend arriving before 6 pm. The restaurant was... More

Friendly waiter. That's the good news. Food arrived 50 minutes after ordering. My wife and I both ordered mixed skewers(3/order, all different). When the order came, virtually all the selections were incorrect. Several minutes later the correct order arrived. Everything as served slightly above room temp. Did not appear to be freshly grilled. The fish, chicken, shrimp, pork and octopus... More
