This restaurant is elegant without being super fancy. It's in a good location near Plaza Foch as well. We had a really fun meal here as everything just looks lovely. The staff is also very nice. Service is slow, but for this kind of meal you probably want to relax and take your time anyway. We had mixed feelings about... More

A great restaurant in the tourist district. Good varied Ecuadorian menu combined with a contemporary atmosphere makes this restaurant a must visit during your time in Quito.

Warm and comfortable surroundings, friendly service, tasteful presentation, interesting menu selections, delicious food. A wonderful last night in Ecuador (this time). I'll be back.

This restaurant is wonderfully authentic, serving very good local cuisine, even though it's in a touristy area which at first was a turn off. We are so glad we tried it! The staff was pleasant, and the bartender was not fibbing when he said his was the best pisco sour in town. Of the several we tried during our visit... More

Despite have arrived late in a Sunday evening we're very well received. The quality and taste of food was remarkable, it was a fantastic experience. Recommend Achiote for sure to those who want to enjoy genuine equatorian cuisine.

My spanish is less than spectacular but want an authentic experience. The space is stunning inside and out. The staff is so genuine and sincerely enjoy serving and explaining the dishes if you ask. Oh yeah, I asked a lot which led me to understand more of this beautiful country. Dining is about the tastebuds but is also about what... More

This restaurant was just a block from our lodgings, so we went there twice in 4 days. We were a group of 8 and they had no trouble getting us a table (with a space heater - it was cold outside!). Possibly the best soups any of us ever ate. I agree you need 2 hours to eat the relaxed... More

Expect dinner to take at least two hours. Well worth it, but you need to have the time to enjoy it at a very relaxed pace. Located at Juan Rodriguez 282 and the intersection with Reina Victoria. In a busy, well-lit neighborhood of restaurants, bars, and shops. The dining room is small, 16 tables, a mix of about equal numbers... More

This restaurant is very tourist friendly and the food was good but very pricely for what you got. Service was very poor for this type of restaurant. We did not get a waiter until we asked and he did not return for quite some time. Didn't offer any additional drinks and because of the layout, there's no way to flag... More

We decided to try this restaurant after checking out the reviews on TA and with little else open over the holiday we didn't have too much choice. We were very disappointed, not least with the cheap decor and lousy service. We were sat at a table that was unusually wide for 2 people, you felt that you had to shout... More
