This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel because we were looking to try for Cuy (guinea pig). The service was good. The staff spoke in Spanish but the menu was in both English and Spanish. We went for lunch and were expecting to be blown away (given the prices), but the food was just okay. Nothing we ordered... More

this restaurant is in the main square in the Marescal area of Quito and there are an awful lot of restaurants mostly cheap ones but this is a good one - well priced Ecuadorian cuisine . Busy , with good food , pleasant staff and clean loos !

Even if you don't plan to eat "Cui" this is a place we can recommend. The food has a very good quality, served fresh by very friendly waiters.

The restaurant is located near Foch Plaza so expect to pay tourist prices, nothing cheap here. The food was well cooked and they have cuy (guinea pig) on the menu. It was dfried as opposed to spit roasted in case you care. I had an traditional Ecuadorian pork platter with various things like boiled corn, fried corn, grilled pork and... More

I was also recommended by many people in Quito. Not bad, but not awesome. Location was good, central, in a very vibrant neighborhood.

After a week of some disgusting and disappointing meals in Quito, I longed for some comforting foods with tastes I recognized and portions I wanted to finish. The locro (potato soup with cheese) was my appetizer and it was very good. I requested that no cilantro be put in it since I don't care for cilantro. That made a difference... More

This restaurant was highly reccomended to us by three different people and a guide book so we thought we would try it! The food was nice but was not the best that we tried and was quite expensive for what it was. The service was good and it was a nice place to sit, near the Plaza Foch however we... More

Let me begin by saying this restaurant was highly recommended. I wanted to eat traditional Ecuadorean food and be in a lively area. Mama Clorinda fit that description. I first ordered a pitcher of lemonade. They merely juiced some lemons and added no sugar or sweetner ... Epic fail. I ordered mixed ceviche as an appetizer ... BIG MISTAKE. The... More
