The traditional Mediterranean food offerings at BAALBEK Lebanese restaurant in Quito are way overpriced for the minimal amount of food served. Button size falafels, slightly bigger than that baklavas, everything is served in the stingiest, miserly amount for the highest possible price. That is a total disrespect for the customer, because the first thought is not to provide the visitor... More

We had heard such good things about this restaurant so we went, and we're so disappointed. When we walked in no one was around for about 10 minutes do we wandered around until finally a waiter showed up. We ordered some starters between us, falafal & humous and then each tried to order a sturfado dish. However, the waiter told... More

We went for lunch after a recommendation from our hotel and the place did not disappoint. All dishes were tasty and service great.

It's one of the few places we discovered around Plaza Foch that offers something more sophisticated than burgers and other fast food. We are vegetarian so we ordered almost everything that was without meat on the menu. The portions turned out to be very small. The food was very average except for baba ganoush. The waiters were very confused and... More

First of all I can say the menu was limited, and at the same time, althought I am not an expert of Lebanese food, the taste was not what I expected, I heard the pastry, and the sweets, were very good, but we didn't try those so regarding food, not a good experience. Service was better, and I heard on... More

Went to Baalbek with friends in search of a good fun meal. We ended up with tiny portions and 0 money left in our wallets. There was not a single other person in the place but still our service was less than desirable. Our waiter convinced members of our party that one 'full plate' was a better deal than 2... More

I grew up on Lebanese food and rank it up in my top 3 types of food. The Baalbek experience, however, did not live up to either my expectations or prior experiences. My main complaints about Baalbek are the incredibly small portions (and as a result, the price), the poor selection (which excludes many standard Lebanese dishes), and the service... More
