They supposed to serve Viatnamese food. But all we had was boring, not tasty at all. And this is hard to do when you look how simple but tasty Viatnamese kitchen is... Just go for drinks, but nothing else.

$8 for 3 kebabs with tiny shrimps over lots of noodles, two slices of cucumber and carrot. They also serve Ecuadorean and Thai cuisine. The typical restaurant in plaza Foch, regular food and overpriced.

If someone said to you ‘Did you hear the one about the Scotsman who owned an Oriental eatery pub in Equador ?’ You would say aah this sounds like a good joke … but it is far from a joke. Uncle Ho’s is a smashing pub that does top notch very reasonably priced Asian cuisine in Quito, Ecuador. It is... More

I was traveling in Quito with a friend and we visited Uncle Ho's on several occasions. Stuart (the owner) was always warm & welcoming and provided us with great tips & info for traveling around Ecuador. He also helped us out when we had no phone charger (lifesaver!) The Asian food was lovely & full of flavour and we enjoyed... More

A great little spot off the mayhem of Fosch Plazza with good Thai food. Pad Thai was tasty and the owner took time to have a decent chat with us as we waited for our night bus to depart later that night. We sipped a few beers & abused the wifi whilst the owner was more than accommodating to our... More

A year ago I was in Hanoi and this brought back some of my favourite flavours. The fried spring rolls, the crispy squid. There is Pho as well, I know I will be back to explore the menus next time in quito. Great company too, not so touristy or backpacker full more like a bunch of regulars and expats. Great... More

Listen, just don't order pad thai unless it's in the states or your home country, or it won't be what you want. Gringos constantly complain about this, yet keep ordering it *rant over* Uncle Ho's is the BEST Asian food we've had in South America, hands down. Like, they actually use Asian spices and flavors, thank god. I had the... More

Awesome Viet food found in South America, who'd have thought?! And the banter with Stu the owner is top notch also. Bravo!

Pad thai is one of my favorite dishes and I don´t think I´m hard to please but this was probably the worst pad thai of my life. They used vermicilli (really thin) noodles instead of the standard rice noodles. I didn´t taste any peanut in my sauce. The noodle was also overcooked and mushy. My gf had pho which was... More
