Fried Bananas is a cozy restaurant with a casual and relaxed atmosphere, right next to the main tourist plaza in La Mariscal. Our prices are much lower than one would expect given the quality of the food and service. We feature a variety of seafood, Ecuadorian specialties, grilled dishes, pasta, salads, vegetarian delights and more; all creatively prepared and as fresh as can be.You will want to be sure to save room for one of our signature desserts.I suggest checking out our website where you can browse the menu, read reviews and get more information about us.HOURS OF OPERATION: MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY 12:30-20:30 SATURDAY 12:30 16:30

Nice service, good food

Located on a shifty looking and quiet street away from other restaurants, but not disappointed that we persevered in our search. We just had the most wonderful 'meal' at Fried Banana! The avocado soup (house specialty) is cream perfection. I had shrimp appetizer; my sister had fried cheese with pineapple-both flavorful & creative! We are doing a progressive dinner somewhat in Quito tonight. We had a lag in our itinerary, as we began a wee too early for Quito nightlife. The... More

This restaurant has a very interesting decor on the inside; art from local artists and sculptors. We were a party of six and they were able to accommodate us upstairs in an intimate setting. Some of us are vegan and they were able to cater to our needs. Many other local dishes and they seem to lean to an Italian... More

I tried to find this at night but it is not well lit and they were a few dubious characters shifting about. But I went back the next day and it was lovely. Pleasant staff, a cold beer, a superb Ceviche and a tasty prawn and saffron pasta was $22. The fried bananas smelt lovely but I didn't have room

After scouring Mariscas Sucre for some good Ecuadorian cuisine, we happily landed at Fried Bananas. They had a wonderful menu and their staff went above and beyond. After filling our stomach with some truly delightful dishes, they turned into our own personal tour guides and pointed us in the right direction to finish off a great day! Definitely a must... More

The restaurant was very nice and the staff incredibly kind. They explained what I can eat as I am vegan. I had amazing avocado soup and risotto. It was nice, quite and just perfect for a vegan :)

The food was good, albeit not up to our expectations (considering it is ranked 8th in Quito and is fairly cheap)... Staff was friendly and service was quick, but I was disappointed by the location and food. It's a good choice for a relaxed/quick dinner with friends.

We went here based on other reviews and were very glad we did. My friend had the best ceviche we tried in Quito and I had the baked trout. We shared an amazing banana dessert too. The ladies who work there are super friendly and we found the prices to be great, like most of Quito. Would definitely return and... More
