Description: Fried Bananas is a cozy restaurant with a casual and relaxed atmosphere, right next to the main tourist plaza in La Mariscal. Our prices are much lower than one would expect given the quality of the food and service. We feature a variety of seafood, Ecuadorian specialties, grilled dishes, pasta, salads, vegetarian delights and more; all creatively prepared and as fresh as can be.You will want to be sure to save room for one of our signature desserts.I suggest checking out our website where you can browse the menu, read reviews and get more information about us.HOURS OF OPERATION: MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY 12:30-20:30 SATURDAY 12:30 16:30

we were attracted to this restaurant through the generally very good ratings in Trip Advisor. However, we cannot confirm based on our own experience tonight. Service wasn't attentive (forgot to bring the ordered beverages) nor really professional (for example, served white wine in champagne glass, we were sat at a small bistro table despite several free larger tables). Camarone ceviche... More

Found this place from a Google search of the best Ecuadorian restos in Quito. Would advise coming here for dinner. This is because good local food can be had at lunchtime in many hole-in-the-wall lunch eateries at USD3 for a 3-course lunch - juice, soup, main (usually rice, salad and some meat). But for dinner it is well worth eating... More

My girlfriend and I ate here recently. The overall experience was very good. The atmosphere was very relaxed, with lovely decor and nice staff. For our appetizers we had the Shrimp Ceviche and Fried Banana Mushrooms. Both were excellent, the Ceviche was rich and had a good depth of flavor, better than most that we have experienced in Ecuador. It... More

They serve excellent food, provide a very friendly service at a very resonable price. The interior is very nice and the atmosphere is quiet; it is like an oasis with great food.

I went with friends twice. The first time I had the shrimp ceviche, it was good. Then I had the chicken which was dry and vegetables were bland. Next time I had the heart of palms ceviche and it was too hard. As a main I had the rice and shrimp and it wasn't so great either. Very small portion.... More

It took us a while to find this place...here's a tip; keep walking away from the Foch along Foch street, over Amazonas street, keep going and its on the left. Looks closed but ring the bell. Now for the food...we tried all the favorites and would eat there again in a heart beat. The Camembert with honey...simply divine. (Needed a... More

The food was good, and the prices very reasonable. But we had really slow service for our large group.

Came across this place looking for a decent and affordable price in 'gringo land'. It was so good. We had shimp ceviche, the pizza appetizer, and the chicken that were all amazing. Also had the trout-which was unfortunately overcooked. I was super sad not to be able to make it here twice, they close early on Saturdays, becuase I wanted... More

Had a recommendation to come here for lunch. Their restaurant was quaint, food was good and their recommendation for the Basil lemonade was excellent. I was craving a 'salad'...after a few days without - and they served up a beautiful one that was exactly what I was looking for. I'd go back
