Description: Fried Bananas is a cozy restaurant with a casual and relaxed atmosphere, right next to the main tourist plaza in La Mariscal. Our prices are much lower than one would expect given the quality of the food and service. We feature a variety of seafood, Ecuadorian specialties, grilled dishes, pasta, salads, vegetarian delights and more; all creatively prepared and as fresh as can be.You will want to be sure to save room for one of our signature desserts.I suggest checking out our website where you can browse the menu, read reviews and get more information about us.HOURS OF OPERATION: MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY 12:30-20:30 SATURDAY 12:30 16:30

My boyfriend and I ate there twice during our visit in Quito. The first time was very good. Good smoothies, and good main dish. At the second time we were a bit disappointed. Altho we got an amazing first dish (fried cheese in tomato sauce), we weren't so impressed by the soups and the main dish (rice with vegetables).

Stopped in and had an excellent salad for lunch. Would have loved to come back for dinner but didn't have time. Reasonably priced too. Highly recommended.

This place is a hidden gem. Everyone should be going to this restaurant. The food is fresh and well prepared. It's geared towards taste and quality. The ladies who own and run the restaurant are friendly and super helpful. They make you feel very welcomed and comfortable. I highly suggest visiting Fried Bananas and not heading to the touristy, fast... More

This was one of the very best food experiences I've ever had in Quito. It's a little gem conveniently located in tuorist area of busy Quito. You will not be dissapointed with any of their selections.

We initially turned the wrong direction on Mariscal Foch and became a little concerned about our choice of a quite, primarily vegetarian restaurant when we passed nothing but rowdy bars and came to the main square where the party was raging. When we headed the other way, however, the street was quite, and Fried Bananas was exactly what we expected.... More

This was a nice lunch spot for a vegetarian. I had the vegetarian ceviche (it's a ceviche of palm hearts) and the house salad without the egg. The food was really tasty and I was stuffed for the day. The prices were reasonable for this part of town and the service was really great. After I ordered the salad without... More

Stopped in for dinner this evening. Was very impressed. Very nicely appointed (Decor, linen tablecloths, classical music in the backround, etc.) I am not a big fan of soup in general, but with the reviews of the avocado soup we had to try. IT WAS DELICIOUS!!! I also had the chicken breast dinner, which included veggies and sauteed potatoes. Don't... More

It was well worth the search for this small family run restaurant. Excellent service, friendly warm environment, delicious menu choices. I will definitely return while in Quito for another pleasant culinary experience!

We went back a second time, just couldn't get enough of that soup. We also tried the mozzarella melted in honey and the heart of palms ceviche, both delicious. The rice with vegetables was fine but nothing special. However you also get to eat in a lovely atmosphere, the staff is very pleasant and considering the quality offered it is... More
