Fried Bananas is a cozy restaurant with a casual and relaxed atmosphere, right next to the main tourist plaza in La Mariscal. Our prices are much lower than one would expect given the quality of the food and service. We feature a variety of seafood, Ecuadorian specialties, grilled dishes, pasta, salads, vegetarian delights and more; all creatively prepared and as fresh as can be.You will want to be sure to save room for one of our signature desserts.I suggest checking out our website where you can browse the menu, read reviews and get more information about us.HOURS OF OPERATION: MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY 12:30-20:30 SATURDAY 12:30 16:30

just... yummm

You have to go try it. It's fresh, decadent, and delicious. Going with another person is quite the treat after long days of travel.

The experience visiting The Fried Bananas Restaurant is always amazing, so delicate decorated each single corner of that place, making anybody feels comfy. The food delicious and presented tin the most attractive way you can imagine. I highly advise you to visit it, you won't regret to do so. The owners and their staff treat you as a VIP, which... FB is a little off the beaten path of La Mariscal, in Quito, but offer great meals at an affordable price, has friendly, English-speaking staff, and is quite a welcome departure from the noisy good restaurants that most visitors gravitate to. It definitely caters to a more discerning clientele, and it's not that hard to find if one keeps on... More

We totally enjoyed this restaurant. The food was great and the service was very good. I would be careful walking here because the neighborhood is not very good, especially at night.

Located on a little street off of La Avenida Amazones, on the southern edge of the Mariscal District, this restaurant serves refined food in a refined atmosphere. They don't take credit cards but this should not deter you. Every item on the menu is great there -- we went back a number of times. The salads are great, desserts are... More

This place is amazing. The service was beyond my expectation. We arrived 30 minutes before the opening time and the owner received us with a very good attitude and made everything possible to attend us at this time. We really appreciated her courtesy because we have a programmed tour and don't have enough time. The food and presentation was delicious.... More

Liked: The pasta dishes, specially the zafron and mushrooms. The ambience and attention. Very reasonable prices. THE CHOCOLATE CAKE. Disliked: Tax not included in prices.

A recommendation from my hotel, and being just around the corner made this a perfect spot to grab my first meal in Ecuador. Guests were mostly western tourists, conveniently the menu is in English and Spanish. It provides lots of Ecuadorian options . I had a pineapple juice, lovely and sweet and large. I tried the shrimp cerviche - it... More

This place is a dumpy tourist trap that serves meat-jerky and yesterday's overcooked and dehydrated rice, and charges you three times the normal price you would pay in quito for a meal of the same size. I think most foreigners like it because the menu is in English and it's a little nicer inside than most restaurants in the neighborhood.... More

We looked at the reviews and could hardly believe them. They are true. The most expensive item on the menu is steak for $7. My husband got it. It wasn't the best steak ever, but it was very good. I had the pasta, which was perfect. We even had the fried plantains for dessert. It was a wonderful meal in... More
