Fried Bananas is a cozy restaurant with a casual and relaxed atmosphere, right next to the main tourist plaza in La Mariscal. Our prices are much lower than one would expect given the quality of the food and service. We feature a variety of seafood, Ecuadorian specialties, grilled dishes, pasta, salads, vegetarian delights and more; all creatively prepared and as fresh as can be.You will want to be sure to save room for one of our signature desserts.I suggest checking out our website where you can browse the menu, read reviews and get more information about us.HOURS OF OPERATION: MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY 12:30-20:30 SATURDAY 12:30 16:30

Always a favorite

This may well be my most favorite restaurant in Quito. Great food at exceptional prices with stunning service. Our first visit was in 2013, and we have been many times since. We always recommend it to friends.

Good quality food at a very reasonable price. Great people who make you feel welcome and comfortable! We dined there two of four nights in Quito but we could have eaten here every night and not been disappointed!

Fried Bananas is a small restaurant located in the Mariscal on a side street. Street is a little dodgy looking and the restaurant keeps the door locked, only opening it each time a diner arrives. That was a little strange. The food was decent though and the prices are very reasonable for what you get.

I've been to Quito 3 times and have stayed a total of about 7 weeks. I've eaten at some of the best rated restaurants in town along with some hole-in-the-wall places for almuerzo. The Very Good: The Decor The Grilled chicken - great flavor and not dried out Fresh vegetables - nice and crispy The White sauce mixed with the... More

Great little restaurant in the Foch, near all of the bars, hotels, clubs, etc. Nice decorations, relaxed atmosphere, great service and really delicious Ecuadorian dishes, served with homemade ají (hot sauce) and fresh vegetable sides. I went with friends for lunch and the prices were very reasonable - each person paid under $8 for his/her meal. I got the main... More

It was quiet, the service was good and the food was excellent. And reasonably priced. The chocolate cake and the bananas flambe were amazing. The elevator music got a little annoying, especially when it started repeating.

FB is a little off the beaten path of La Mariscal, in Quito, but offer great meals at an affordable price, has friendly, English-speaking staff, and is quite a welcome departure from the noisy good restaurants that most visitors gravitate to. It definitely caters to a more discerning clientele, and it's not that hard to find if one keeps on... More
