Cafe Mosaico is a nice little uphill walk from Old Town [though the cardio is compounded by the high elevation and some might find themselves slightly breathless through the course of the climb]. Believe the hype though: this place is absolutely worth it. I had my last meal here before departing Ecuador and I wouldn't have had it any other... More

We got to the restaurant late, still a beautiful view. Make sure you head up the stairs to the top balcony when you walk in. The ambience is better upstairs. The waiter was rushed off his feet. When the food arrived it was good. Bring an jacket. Enjoy, Happy Trails 12

The view from the balcony seating is amazing, especially at night. There is a very extensive and varied menu. I had pancakes with banana and chocolate chips, and they were delicious!

At first I thought my husband just picked the place that required walking the most steps/hills to get to, but when we walked into Cafe Mosaico and saw the view of Quito's entirety beneath us, I was sold. Totally excellent view (you really get to see Quito nestled into the mountains/valley and get an even bigger appreciation for how big... More

A friend took us for dinner and the view is spectacular. Don't forget to take your camera. We had a fish that offers different dishes like pork, chicken fingers, chicken wings, meatballs, empanadas, etc but all with a quiteno flavor - different and very tasty.

Incredible view of the City of Quito. The Old Town at night is very special. Decent prices for the quantity of food you get

What a beautiful view! Get there around 5:00, 5:30 so you can get a seat on the balcony. The view is beautiful during the day and breathtaking at night. Cafe Mosaico is pretty high up above the city and the view leaves you speechless. The food and service weren't bad. The dedos de pollo (chicken fingers) were actually crunchy on... More

I'm on business trip in Quito. Having problems finding Halal food here, I eat vegetarian and seafood. I went to this cafe/restaurant yesterday. The view is amazing. The place is well decorated. The menu has a great variety and vegetarians will find great options here (including seafood). I took the enconcado which is a mix of shrimps and fish cooked... More

The view from Cafe Mosaico is fantastic, especially in the evening, and probably worth putting up with the food and service. We visited on a Saturday evening. It was busy with a nice atmosphere. Slow service is understandable but the waitresses were disinterested and sour. We were disappointed with the food but enjoyed our evening none the less.

You'll want to arrive when the lights across the valley are coming on, as you gaze across the most beautiful vista ever! When we arrived, we were the only ones there, but within 20 minutes, it was full. Maybe arrive a few minutes early. Menu in English and Spanish available. Foods was quite satisfactory. Parking was a trick! Taxi may... More
