Great bustling local spot

This was he only place in the old city that was busy. In fact it was heaving with locals. Every table was full, and we managed to squeeze in. A fairly long wait for service which was fine as we watched huge families celebrating birthdays, whilst a guitarist serenaded the tables. It wasn't the best... read more

The food was good but you can find this kind of food in the markets. They were out of several dishes, and the waiting to get attention in your table and then to get your food, took forever.

I was taken to this restaurant by one of my uncles who is a foodie. He was spot on. It was crammed but they accommodated us anyway; they welcomed us with a small glass of pisco sour which was really smooth and not too sweet (as sometimes they are made). We had shellfish empanada and it was perfect, the dough... More

I will never forget this place for as long as I live. it wasn't fancy. it wasn't overtly decorated, it was a local spot filled with people and chaos and free shots of pisco sours. It was wonderful. The food portions were ridiculous, it could feed be for 5 days. Bet the best part of all, were the empanada matchas.... More

Forget about the etiquette and fancy dishes. This is the real and typical huachaca restaurant to go and get the best seafood. There is a wonderful relation between Quiality, Price, and Quantity. If you are lucky, you can have alive music while you enjoy the lucnch

We had lunch here and seemed to be the only tourists.  We ended up sharing two empanadas and a very rich seafood soup which was enough for both of us.  Most people rock up for lunch at 1-1.30pm so don't be alarmed if you arrive at 12.30pm and there is no one there. It was packed when we left. The... More

Old style place, poor forniture, but the food is really flavorful. The service was pretty quick and the fish great! I got empanada de mariscos and fried reineta with papas doradas. Excelent, even the price was ok

Friendly staff and delicious seafood at a value price you can't beat anywhere in the States! My wife and I came here on some recommendations from friends and hotel staff (Sheraton in Vina del Mar) and were so happy we came. The bowl of seafood, with clambs, shrimp, fish, and more was piping hot and delicious!
