Lovely dinner listening to the Beatles on vinyl. Some lovely fish and then blackcurrant ice cream - Yum. Nice service, interesting decor

The food and service were good, the prices are ok depending on what you eat. They have a selection of unusual ice creams....the avocado ice cream was strange but good!

This is a fun place to eat! Lively atmosphere, great friendly people (I wish I knew their names!), and very well-prepared and surprisingly creative food, highlighting authentic local fare. They know their wines, and they take great pride in what they do, and they should. Located right next door to Apice, which is an opposite statement although a must-try as... More

Cafe vinilo is very inviting from the outside thanks to a cozy atmosphere. The manager spoke a good english and walked us through the menu. We were a little disappointed that only 3-4 wines were available of the entire white menu and the manager did a hard sell on a bottle off the list. Overall it was a nice experience... More

My wife and I popped into Cafe Vinilo for some wine and maybe some food on our first night in Valparaiso. The bar at our hotel (Fauna Hotel, nearby) was full so we thought this looked like a good alternative. We sat comfortably at the tall shared bar area and the stylish and very kind "professional wine taster" (a very... More

This unassuming cafe was well worth the uphill walk. The recommended red wine exceeded my expectations - my favorite bottle in Chile. Our dinners were delicious. The service superb!

I just ate dessert in Cafe Vinilo as I was bit disappointed to earlier restaurant and didn't want to have dessert there. First impression of Vinilo was good and I liked the decoration with real turntables which were playing the music. Waitress was friendly and service good. I took cheese cake, slice was huge and taste good, I liked that... More

Most restaurants were closing between lunch and dinner service, but Vinilo was open with lots of customers. The waiter took time to explain the dishes to us in English, as our Spanish is non-existent. He recommended the home brewed beer, which my other half said was delicious. We enjoyed the slow cooked rabbit, though it looked somewhat unappealing as the... More

Finally, on a Sunday night, we decided to dine "Chilean style" and wait until 9:30 to find a meal. Unfortunately, place after place was already closed until we found Vinilo which was more than happy to have us. Nice wine options here and for very affordable prices. We found the food to be good, but nothing overly memorable. We ordered... More
