Great atmosphere, fun place

We had a really lovely evening out at Cafe Vinilo. It's got a great atmosphere, fun and laid back, lots of character, and with great music of course. The food is good--Chilean food and ingredients but with a modern twist (our guidebook called it Chilean bistro food, which is a good description... read more

Great meal, the owners went out of their way to help with the menu and the wine list. My son and I had good food and talked English football with the owner. My best meal in Chile.

We came across the great little place on a whim, and what a fabulous surprise it was! We had multiple glasses of delicious wine and beer, which lead to a fabulous bottle of wine neither of us ever heard about before. The sommelier, Maria Luisa was fabulous! She also pointed us in a great direction for wineries to visit in... More

the host was excellent, helping to explain the menu given my Spanish is not great. The carve he starter was outstanding, along with my pork main. Another highlight was their own brewed beer, really good pale ale. Highly recommend.

We ate here on both of our nights in Valparaiso. There were some unusual items on the menu including a lovely rabbit stew. My husband had reinata (a local flat fish). One of the waitresses is a qualified sommelier and was very knowledgeable about the wine list. We fell in love with the Carmenere red wine which was very reasonable... More

Upon arriving in Valparaiso, my wife & I found our living quarters on Cumming on Cerro Carcel, and shortly after, discovered we were ready for dinner. A short walk & a ride up the Ascensor Reina Victoria found us in a small neighborhood full of cafes, bars, & restaurants. The items on the sign outside drew us inside to a... More

Stopped in duringthe day and thought the scene was pretty cool, so made a reservation for the evening. The lighting is all off, way too bright for this otherwise neat place, but this was made up for by the really friendly service, helpful staff, very beautiful and knowledgeable sommelier, nice sauvignon blanc. We sat around a while, enjoyed the music... More

Low key, friendly and attentive servers, good food, good wine… Our favorite dish was the avocado, shrimp and chicken curry appetizer – very flavorful, good quality ingredients and a unique combination of flavors that worked together. We had a really nice bottle of Sauvignon Blanc that we saw later at a higher end restaurant for 5000 pesos more than what... More

Nice decorated restaurant; charming and friendly personal. Food was good though not perfect. ... but anyway we spent a terrific evening in there. Would recommend the ceviche and chupes de jaibas, not the desserts. Cheers.
