Nice ambience. Delicious food.

Nice decorated restaurant; charming and friendly personal. Food was good though not perfect. ... but anyway we spent a terrific evening in there. Would recommend the ceviche and chupes de jaibas, not the desserts. Cheers.

This was the best dinner I had in Valparaiso. The waitstaff was so nice and attentive. I had the reinata and it was amazing!! The food and atmosphere were so good I stayed for dessert. I would definitely return. They play records(hence the name of the place). It's quirky and a fun to eat here.

We followed the Reviews from Trip Advisor and loved it!! The staff was very friendly, explaining all dishes and recommending wines. I ordered fish and my husband ate a meat dish. For entries we had octopuss. Everything was delicious! Ambiance very nice! We arrived very early, around 19h, and it was already open.

This place is well known and has a good reputation, but it's actually hard to find anything to rave about. We left feeling a little let down. The decor of the place is great and the atmosphere was buzzing. Our waiter was really friendly and, in the beginning at least, took his time to help us with the menu. It... More

Cafe Vinilo is s short walk from the HA hotel situated right along a strip with many good restaurants and dessert shops. We had great Chilean wine there along with fine entrees of rabbit, shrimp, scallops, salads and the trusty ham sandwich. Nothing like Spanish ham! The staff were trained and attentive to tourists. The waitress read all of the... More

Small restaurant with great food. We know no Spanish but the waitress carefully explained the menu. We started with a tomato, onion, cilantro spread on small pita like bread made in the restaurant. Entrees were oso buco, salmon and rabbit. The rabbit and salmon came with an unappetizing looking mash of wheat and porcini mushrooms, brownish. But one bite and our... More

I would really recommend the seafood there (e.g., cebiche, reineta, ostiones), which is mostly fished locally. Service was also excellent and fully available in English. Very friendly, relaxed and busy atmosphere. I really liked the table by the window. It should be mentioned that this place is also open on Sunday evening, which can sometimes be hard to find in... I have been a longtime customer of Cafe Vinilo, in fact since from the beginning and after a while (since I live in Brazil) we went go out for dinner with my wife. Actually I was pleasantly impressed because of the high level of the dishes, pastries and drinks menu. Restricted but with excellent blends of flavors and textures that... More

This was our first meal in Valparaiso and it was such a treat. First, we were lucky they were open when we arrived around 22:30. And they were super-gracious, even though we spoke no Spanish. We got excellent food recommendations from the wait staff. We started with ceviche and grilled octopus. All three of us had fish for our mains.... More
