We had one of our most delicious meals in Valparaiso here. The service was fantastic, the waiter went through in English the traditional Chilean dishes on offer and answered all out questions. We shared an entree of these crispy delicious flat bread with a traditional popular fresh dip made off parsley, lime, tomatoes, onion, garlic - it was too die... More

We had one of our loveliest meals at Cafe Vinilo, and would highly recommend it to people wanting to experience some hearty, Chilean food. We've never had such an inventive experience with potatoes-adding orange and mint, even blood pudding for completely inspired flavours! Would highly recommend Cafe Vinilo for its food, as well as a lovely, friendly atmosphere!

Our local friend recommended Vinilo for Chilean food and we were so pleased he did! We over ordered - the small plate tapas and entradas are really quite large. The Ensalada chilina, loaded with fresh red tomatoes was enough for 3-4 to share. Also ordered the Nam (outstanding and rich), palta reina con camarones, and ostiones a la parmsana. All... More

Although the food was very good here, the service was a little strange. The main waiter was kind of a know-it-all, and answered me in English even when I spoke some Spanish, and then just seemed super rushed. Another waiter, not the main one, tried to help out, but he had his own tables to deal with...Then I asked for... More

Good restaurant which serves Chilean food, Staff are very friendly, welcoming and helpful, and took the time to explain the menu and also to go through the excellent wine list and make recommendations (which we couldn't fault). They also were happy to keep talking to us about food, Chile, Valparaiso, England - anything! The food was delicious and service great.... More

This little family run café serves very good local fish and meat dishes and is very good value. Our hotel recommended it. Must book though especially on the weekends.

This is a very cosy restaurant that serves original Chilean food. The staff is super friendly and explains the proposed meals in English. Our plates were delicious. You should also try the homemade beer. Very nice place!

While in Valparaiso, I wanted Chilean cuisines (restaurant type, not the great empanadas, etc.). The first two restaurants I ate at had excellent seafood, but nothing I would not find is coastal towns elsewhere. Cafe Vinilo filled the gap. An interesting menu, with regional dishes and identifying the regional. Not the finest food, but very good and a great opportunity... More

We came here because of the decent reviews on TripAdvisor, but we were disappointed. The place looked pretty good, but I wouldnt say nice. Half of the bread was stale, and the beer I ordered was 75% foam. There were not many selections available for food on the menu, and two of the few options with meat were not available.... More
