It was nice to have a soy Milk cortado there, I finally worked out the coffee most like flat white is a cortado!

I recently stopped into Café Melbourne before take a walking tour. I had a latte and muffin and the coffee was actually decent. The café was clean and attractive and the bathroom was clean and had toilet paper and paper towels, which is a luxury in Chile. The menu had some interesting salads that I plan to go back and...

It was lovely to hang out with the wifi on a sofa, on the main square, and have a long leasurely Chai Latte - something I haven't found elsewhere in Chile yet.
First day in Chile what a great find, coffee fantastic, very friendly service it was very enjoyable.
Sometimes you're just on the hunt for a prime cup of joe plus that bonus of when it's served with a smile. That's what I got here. It was one good Americano. We drank our coffees upstairs in big comfortable chairs with a stellar view of Plaza Sotomayor. Great people watching!
Didn't try the food but I peeked over peoples...

I love Chile but I also Love Coffee. Melbourne Cafe has it all. The coffee was great and the service was even better. I love the atmosphere. I can't wait to go back. I would recommend it to all of my friends and to any travelers who miss good coffee, LOOK NO FURTHER!
Cafe on the plaza themed with items and photos from Melbourne. We went in the afternoon so it lacked a bit of atmosphere and was more like a cafe you see anywhere, but they do a very good coffee.
The owner apparently had lived in Australia for a few years and acquired the knowledge of making a good coffee. After traveling SA for 2 months, it has been a challenge to find some great tasting caffeine kicks. Come to 'Melbourne' and you will experience a bona fide cafè. Enjoy folks!
Stopped for lunch. A cheese, tomato and pesto sandwich. Have to place your order first at the counter. No liquor licence. Sandwiches came on a toasted bun with very little tomato, a bit more cheese and the pesto spoon may have grazed the bun, not sure as there was no taste and little evidence of any pesto. Located on Plaza...

It's tough finding great coffee in South America - despite the continent producing so much of the world's coffee - and the Melbourne Cafe, so centrally located in Valparaiso (you don't even have to go looking for it), is a welcome place.
Yes, it is surreal, being in a cafe in South America, surrounded by photos of Melbourne, Australia, but...
