Description: ViaViaCafe Valparaiso is a Belgian Bistro in a restored Art Deco house of the 1940´s. In our restaurant with a large, green terrace on Cerro Alegre Valparaiso, you can eat typical Belgian sweet or savory snacks such as waffles or Belgian stew in beer sauce with fries. You can also enjoy our Belgian beers, or a breezy martini or a glass of wine. Our restaurant is located on Cerro Alegre, 20 meters from Cerro Concepcion, in the UNESCO world heritage site of the port of Valparaíso.Brussels Waffles: These light and crispy waffles from Brussels, the capital of Belgium, are internationally renowned. Crepes are light pancakes, which can be served sweet or savory. Sweet crepes in ViaViaCafe are served with fruit and whipped cream or with chocolate sauce.Do you prefer savory? Then you should definitely try our salty crepes. A nutritious snack that is served in France and Belgium as a refreshment or light lunch. Beer stew with Belgian fries = Thé ViaViaCafe’s classic dish: slow cooked beef in a spicy beer sauce, served with hand cut fries that are baked twice until crispy in vegetable oil.

Superb gourmet at a reasonable price (we had the lucheon special) and terrific patio ambience complemented by excellent service and varied menu. Beer lovers will be in heaven with their selection of Belgian beers among others. Tasty appetizers and a well stocked menu. English is spoken as well as French and there is a view from certain tables on the... More

Many vegetarian options were available. The food was great and the prices were reasonable for the quality of food. The service was excellent as well.

I don't know how this place has 5 stars. I had a crepe for mains with vegetables and goats cheese, it was the most bland thing I've eaten. My husband had the meatballs, the 3 meatballs, he did say it tasted good. We both had the waffles with caramel sauce for desert but asked for ice cream too, we were... More

Thank you for your comment. We are sorry you didnt enjoy your meal as it should be. We are always trying to improve the quality and have very good feedback from many customers. Of course it is always good to know if we could improve. As for the waffles, we use the traditional recipe for Brussels waffles. They are not... More

Excellent kitchen with real Belgian food and beers. Good service and prices. We had the Estofado borracho that was recommended and enjoyed the Belgian flavours.

We came here for lunch and had the menu of the day, all the food was good and the beer menu excellent. My wife had the swordfish which was excellent and I had the pork chop in beer sauce. Only rating it as average seems a little harsh but cannot find enough reasons to go up to very good. Would... More

We live in Valparaíso in Chile and regularly visit ViaVia Café. We enjoy sitting under the trees in their lovely garden enjoying good Belgian Beer and good coffee with a lunch of typically Belgian dishes! Their "papas fritas" are the best in town as are all the dishes marked on the menu as Belgian! Such a haven of good European... More

We were at the ViaVia café in Valparaiso in May 2014. OK, admitted, we are Belgian and were craving for a "Duvel" after months of travelling in South America, but the great location, nice atmosphere and friendly welcoming will convince you too! It is no question Belgian beers are the best and combined with some great fresh dishes this is... More

This restaurant offers a tasteful selection of delicious Belgian food (like stoofvlees) and has a broad selection of veggie meals. All cooked with natural ingredients. We will definitely go back, and will try out other via via's as well!

We actually dined twice in a day, for lunch we had some very good chicken and pesto pasta, which was very good. We came back for dinner, and it was good but not amazing. We had meatballs and chips. Chips were home made and was excellent. Overall some nice food. The crepe was excellent.
