Nice little cafe

On our first day in Valparaiso we had lunch at Via Via. The walk down the numerous steps is worth while. The food was good and we were entertained by a young lady singing and playing guitar. The resident cat is very friendly.... nice location for a leisurely lunch.

The staff was super helpful with local insight, accommodating our needs, and arranging transportation. The rooms were clean and a super value.

We are Belgian travellers from Leuven. While wandering through the streets of Valparaiso, a huge colorful drawing caught our eye. The sign mentioned; Via Via cafe. ''That's Belgian!'' we said to each other. And even better. Combined with the Chilean atmosphere. Great, hard to get Belgian beers, refined snacks, cosy terrace and a nice host who welcomed us in our own... More

Whe stayed 10 days in Chile in this small hotel, in a small apartment perfectly functional and organized with kitchen. We then ate at the restaurant three times, remaining always satisfied for vegetable soups, rice and fish, and wonderful desserts. Punctual, polite and very friendly service. Very special atmosphere, highly recommended.

This was a great space to eat, relax and enjoy in. The food was delicious and the price was right. A nice atmosphere, good service, great food. What more can you ask for? There are vegetarian options too! :)

The three of us ate lunch here for 6900 pesos each which included soup or salad, choice of entree - we all had the grilled fish, and tiramisu for dessert. The shaded patio setting was excellent as was the staff. The food was great and carefully presented - one of the best values in Valpo for lunch! One tip -... More

Very friendly place to stay at a great place. The accommodations are simple, but clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful - we had to catch a taxi to the bus station at 4:30am, and one of the staff took us for free and wouldn't even accept a tip. Oh, and the food is great too.

I am surprised at the few bad reviews all happening on the same day, February 21, 2015 while we enjoyed a lovely, long lunch on the shady terrace of ViaVia without any complaints! We enjoyed good Belgian Beer and Sauvignon Blanc from Chile with a lovely snack plate followed by our main course from the set menu and a separate... More

We tried two of their daily specials, a crab and fish combination "chupe" ("stew"), with a delicious mixed salad, and a chicken skewers with vegetables dish, with a carrot and ginger soup. These were prepared perfectly and served quickly. The dessert was a yogurt whip, flavored with fruit. Light and cool! Entirely satisfying.
