Awesome reasonably priced place to stay in Valpo

Very friendly place to stay at a great place. The accommodations are simple, but clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful - we had to catch a taxi to the bus station at 4:30am, and one of the staff took us for free and wouldn't even accept a tip. Oh, and the food is great too.

I am surprised at the few bad reviews all happening on the same day, February 21, 2015 while we enjoyed a lovely, long lunch on the shady terrace of ViaVia without any complaints! We enjoyed good Belgian Beer and Sauvignon Blanc from Chile with a lovely snack plate followed by our main course from the set menu and a separate... More

We tried two of their daily specials, a crab and fish combination "chupe" ("stew"), with a delicious mixed salad, and a chicken skewers with vegetables dish, with a carrot and ginger soup. These were prepared perfectly and served quickly. The dessert was a yogurt whip, flavored with fruit. Light and cool! Entirely satisfying.

We went to the ViaVia Cafe because of the recommendation of the Wally's free tour and were not let down. I had the "estofado borracho" and my friend the eggplant crepe which were both delicious. We decided to have our first pisco sours and carmenere wine there, but they also have a great variety of Belgian and local beers. Perfect... More

I was quite afraid about viavia cos I read like 2 or 3 bad comments here on tripadvisor but I must say something.....now It's my favorite place in Valpo! The Waffles and crepes are sooooo delicious...great variety of beers (long life to lachouffe!). The terrace is so cool specially during the night with all the candles there and the relaxing... More

Went to this place after a few recommendations. An absolute let down. Waited about 1 hour and 15 minutes for our food. And there was no other customers inside the restaurant for the last 45 minutes. Food turn up. Fish and chips was definitely not fresh and had to have been frozen to get that type of crumbs on it.... More

Look im not one to complain but after being in Chile awhile and experiencing consistent fast turn around on meals I cannot help it. After being in the restaurant well over an hour and not seeing any hot food leave the kitchen it's safe to say we were unhappy. The waiter came and gave us more bread apologizing for late... More

I waited an hour and a half for my food. I drank my entire beer on an empty, hungry, stomach waiting for the food. I don't think the server checked once or looked at me after he took my order. The bar tender stepped in and got the food and finished up with me. It sucks because they include tip... More

we liked everything served. Enjoy a good wine and selection of Beers. There is both inside seating and a patio. When you find the locals frequent this Café you can figure it's going to be good and it was great.
