Best pizza in town

I have tried many pizzas in Valparaiso, Viña, Santiago and other Chilean cities, and I must say that Malandrino is the best place to have a real Italian pizza. We looked forward to have a nice pizza after our long trip from Mendoza. And we get exactly this: a very good pizza, very nice pasta and fast service. A little too fast. Paired with a good local wine. And at the end we also could pay via VISA what was very helpful after the cashmashine was brocken and we've... More

If you are looking for a non-tourist café in a lovely part of town, we loved this smart neighbourhood pizzeria. The evening we ate there all the other diners were local families and couples. Meals are served is in a series of rooms with high ceilings and a rustic atmosphere. A huge open-fire pizza oven operates near the centre, and... More

Really good, tasty, right out of the oven, cooked in a mud oven in front of your table. Very friendly people, family environment, not loud.

We came here at 9pm for dinner and it was happening, and got busier after us. The service was great. We ordered a bottle of wine, bruschetta and a margarita pizza. I must dock points on the bruschetta - it was really missing cheese. The flavor was good though. We loved the pizza and the wine which was carmenere (cheap... More

These guys really know how to make pizza! The crusts are nice and thin, and baked really well in the wood fire oven. It was fun to watch them make pizza, too. They move in a well choreographed dance between tossing dough, applying toppings, adding/removing pizzas from the oven, and serving. Popular place - we waited for about 40 minutes... More

This is the best pizza I've had in Chile! Everything tastes so fresh. The service was fast even though there was a busy lunchtime rush.

Been a very long time since I had such a lovely pizza, if not one of the best I have ever eaten! It was great watching the pizzaiolo stoke the wooden oven, roll and toss the dough in the air and prepare the toppings right in front of us, whilst we were sipping the local beers and waiting for our table... Pizzas made by hand with good ingredient's in a stone wood oven. You don't find many places like these any more. Electric and gas ovens are easier, but its absolutely different with real wood.

We visited Malandrino as it is a short walk from where we are staying and because of the great trip advisor comments. We were not disappointed! The pizza (Romano) was to die for; with prosciutto, tomatoes, mozzarella and parmesan - the base was crispy and perfectly cooked. My sister lived in Italy for a year and she said it tasted... More
