We visited Valparaiso on a day trip with our tour guide, Hector Medina of HecTour Service. He took us for lunch to Oda Pacifico. Very nice bright atmosphere inside. What great seafood and such a beautiful presentation. The seafood was fresh and food of very good quality. Big portions. We would recommend this restaurant.

Valparaiso was wreathed in mist the day we visited for lunch so we could not eat on the open terrace but tables inside have an equally good view. Busy little restaurant even on a Tuesday lunchtime owing to its very close proximity of 3mins from the Pablo Neruda museum. Nice, attentive service. My wife had stuffed peppers and I had... More

I went with my family today: only 3 meals to choose, the service was super bad, the food very poor and the waiter really rude.

If you arrive before 2 p.m. for lunch, you should have no problem getting an outside terrace table. The view is FABULOUS as the vista goes from end of the Valpo to the next. The view alone is worth a trip to the restaurant for a delicious pisco sour (Peruvian or Chilean). The ceviche is the best I have had... More

The view here is amazing. Excellent ceviche and caldillo de congrio. The wait staff is very attentive and accommodating. I had the best Peruvian pisco sour, so far, in Chile. Good for foodies.

We came here as part of a day-long coastal tour. Beautiful spot with breathtaking views. Some of the best ceviche I had anywhere in Chile (and great Pisco sours too - more Chilean style than Peruvian and massively wonderful.) Fish as fresh as could be, with delicious sides like pure and arroz. Fragrant elegant desserts. Attentive staff (bring your Spanish)... More

When visiting Valparaiso, you must eat here for lunch. Lunch because you need to see the expansive views from your table as you taste some of the freshest seafood that will touch your tastebuds. Everyone in my family ordered some type of seafood (mine was a salmon fillet over a bed of a sort of light potato salad) and we... More

This restaurant is a couple blocks down from La Sebastiana, on the other side of the park, in Bella Vista. The menu is all seafood and very fresh. Great views of the city from the big windows that surround the front. The place is a bit more pricey than other restaurants in the neighborhood but the food is good. We... More

We ate lunch here on a clear day in January and were fortunate to be able to sit at an outside table which gave us an unobstructed view down the hillside and across the port of Valparaiso - spectacular. Just remember that Valparaiso is basically a working, port town, not a resort town. For the more up-scale sites, one needs... More
