Large portions!

Had a huge chicken cordon blue here. It was served with potato croquettes (although the menu said dauphinoise potatoes if I remember correctly). The meal was pleasant if unrefined. The decor is a little old-fashioned but the staff were welcoming and there was a menu in English (which I appreciated).

We came here as this was the only nearby option at the time of the hour. The atmosphere of the place is lovely, right at the port of Valparaiso, upper floor with salvavida decorations. The food was simple but good, we both had fish - which was fresh and tasty - with accompañamento and very much enjoyed it. Plus the... More

This is a traditional restaurant in Valparaiso Port. They have always fresh and good seafood which is the speciality. I recommend to go by lunch so you can enjoy the beautiful view and movement of the Port and ask for a "Caldillo de Congrio" which is a soup made from a typical fish and very energizing. You should always taste... More

Visited this restaurant with my work associates. The atmosphere was nice and the maritime based artifacts on the walls were fun to look at interesting. The food was tasty and well presented, but not amazing.....

The food is a bit bland and the service peculiar but this place is an institution. It's been here forever and from the balcony you can watch the busy port as well as the artesian fishermen and the tourist boats. There is so much to watch here that you might even forget about the boring food. In fact I keep... More

Heads up this place is only open for lunch. I've been to Valpo a number of times but have never checked out this restaurant. After you take a boat tour of the harbor make sure to come here (the large white building with blue trim by the port) and have some fish and a beer/pisco sour. We sat outside overlooking... More

Sat overlooking the harbor. Had a great pisco sour, then a very good meal, followed by excellent coffee. If you are down by the harbor, consider this for a meal.

We sat outside on the balcony overlooking the fishermen on the steps. Our order was taken by someone who spoke English but we were served by Spanish speaking servers which gave us a chance to practice our Spanish. Seafood pasta and soup were very good, nice sized portions. Not a cheap restaurant but pretty good value.

we kind of stumbled into here after going for a stroll around the waterfront. From our verandah table, we were able to watch the harbour cruise boats coming and going and the crowd fishing off the dock in front of the restaurant. Did I mention the food was excellent. And the service was friendly as well, language barrier was no... More

I was impressed by the bread and the "pebre", then the crab soup. But the pasta was overcooked, and the sauce was not so tasty. Similar feeling with the risotto my girlfriend had, not so good. This was a dissappoinment, since the restaurant is very famous and expensive. The service was good.
