Amazing food!

Stopped in at Baco while out shopping on a tour with Suzanne from Chile Off Track. We had a charcuterie/cheese platter to share, followed by confit duck. Wow - best duck I've ever had (and I seek out duck when I dine out as I love it!) and everything from a food perspective was... read more

My wife and I had a great night out - delicious food, great wine and lovely service. The great thing about this restaurant is you can buy a bottle of wine of any glass you have tried or not tried and get a 10% reduction. The decor of the restaurant has a lovely authentic French vibe and the foie gras... More

Baco is joining a league of restaurants whose membership is growing rapidly in Santiago but i still far and away from where it will be years from now. Baco understands the value of great service in addition to its simple and yet outstanding menu which features some of Chile's best seafood, veggies, and meats (it also knows what not to... More

We were walking by and thought Baco looked inviting, so in we went. We ended up having a lovely lunch. We chose the duck and gnocchi. Both were very good.

I'd read a few reviews on Baco so had it on my 'must do' list when in SCL. Extremely glad we seeked it out. We went for lunch on a weekday and sat outside in the sunshine. The crowd was mostly locals (office workers on their lunch breaks) which is always a great sign. Baco has a very extensive and... More

We went to Baco with friends and I was not disappointed. I love the fact that there is no wi-fi so guests "have" to speak to each other. The decour is simple and welcoming. The menu is not very extensive but the food makes up for it. I had the pork tenderloin (solomillo) and it was both moist and tasty.... More

We visited Baco by chance as it was next to where we were staying. Finding a good restaurant with consistent quality in Chile is a crap shoot. Not only was the food at the Baco incredibly good, the service was unusual as you did hot have to wake up the waiter to have your glass refilled. Once we ate here... More

this restaurant's clean, modern decor and wines by the glass reminded me of California restaurants -- in a good way. We were able to sample interesting Chilean wines along with a light supper. I had a green salad with salmon. The greens were really fresh and good. The salmon was both smoked and fresh, which provided nice variety. Nice outdoor... More

The food was very delicious - particularly the steak. Every waitress we encountered was helpful, knowledgeable and well trained. The wine selection is wonderful and it is tempting to try more varieties than you should! We very much enjoyed our evening at Baco.

Unlike most restaurants, there is a wide range of wines by the glass... At least 20 to choose from. They range in price from $4-8, and you can buy bottles of the wine that you tried. The waiters have good recommendations of wines to go with your food. This is one of the few restaurants in the Providencia section of... More
