I heard long ago about "Japon" but only last week I managed to try it. It was the 1st Japanese restaurant in Chile and, although a bit run down, it keeps a certain charm with low tables , a nice sushi bar and real Japanese dishes, aside of Sushi rolls, that I haven´t been able to find anywhere else. The... More

I am not a Japanese food lover but I have to accept that this place is an exception for me. First of all the attention of the waitress was amazing I don't have any claim, they give you oshiboris to clean your hands before you eat and take your order by writings in IPads. The food is outstanding, I taste... More

I ll be short: The best I tried in this place was.... green tea.... You ll pay 2/3 of a Nobu restaurant check for slappy rolls and fake Kikkoman soy sauce. I am sorry but Chilean people have a different imagination of Japanese sushi.

After years of trying the exotic combinations of what is actually called sushi in Chile, full of avocado and fried stuff, I had this amazing experience of going back to the basis of sushi, same way I tried in Japan. In fact I seated at the bar to see the 2 old Japanese sushi-man working on every nigiri and sashimi... More

Japón makes authentic sushi (and is in that sense better than Kintaro) but it's a bit overpriced, hence the loss of one star.

We have been to many many places in Santiago looking for good Sushi. There are some good places but very few can be categorized a Very Good. Japon is the best sushi we have had. Good Atmosphere and Service is consistent. The place is a little hard to find the first time but worth it!

First off let me say the service was great! Having lived in Santiago for a couple of years now I´ve learned that´s not something that should be taken for granted! We were a fairly large group and ordered a mixture of hot dishes and sushi/sashimi but the food came out pretty quickly and was really good. It´s a traditional restaurant... More
